M2 [Hot!] BMW M2 (2022) G87

The BMW M2 is a high-performance version of the BMW 2 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. As the 2 Series replaced the 1 Series coupé and convertible models, the first-generation M2 was marketed as the most basic M model in the range. Official website: BMW M
Too much of a powder blue to these eyes anyway. I think Riviera or Daytona Beach would look better on this car.

Much better with those wheels

looks better in RL pics but that rear bumper is still overkill crap.
It's the moat over complicated bumper that I have ever seen on a production car. Regrettably the rear corners pull attention away from what is otherwise a handsome shape.

Roll on to LCI or the competition variant which will hopefully have a completely redesigned rear bumper.

So, I’m interested to know, is the wheel track wider than the M240i? I presume it is without going off to Google.

With Euro 7 emissions and fuel consumption regulations brought forward to 2025, the M2 will be a unicorn.

It will be one of the extremely few performance cars with a non-electrified drivetrain. Bold and kind by BMW.

looks like an amateur render
The pictures @dalab shared? Why? Opposed to all the other pics in artificial light conditions/studio environment, these real world pics imho have the least tendency to look like a render ... but whatever you think.

Sidenote: In german M-forum the feelings about the G87 switched over from initial rejection (mostly by the old folks, who drive e36/e46 M3 and can't adapt to any change in design language since ages) ... to wholeheartedly embracement.

The G87 will be a tremendous success. No wonder - this drivetrain/technology you don't get anywhere else in this segment.

I agree with leylandi on this.. All of these launch colours despite being "metallic" have been extremely bright glossy colours, and they wash out all of the body lines! These colours all hide the lines.

I want to see a nice Silverstone Metallic or Le Mans Blue Metallic, a colour with proper flakes and shadows that can highlight the new M2's beautiful boxy flares and body lines.

It's growing on me, for sure. I am getting those "touring car vibes" now. Solid effort.

The only genuinely bad angles are those that show off the complexity of the rear bumper. Everything about the car looks fine. The retro E36-esque front end is unique, edgy and fun!

Hmm now that you mention it ,it is very E36-esque.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
