CLS [Hot!] 2021 Mercedes Benz CLS facelift (mopf)

The Mercedes-Benz CLS (initially called the CLS-Class) is a series of executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from December 2003 to August 2023. The original model was a four-door sedan based on the Mercedes E-Class platform, marketed as a four door coupé. An estate (shooting brake) model was later added to the model range with the second generation CLS.

In that spec it is as it should be, miles better than with the Panamericana grill and AMG bits, the white color gives it such an elegant look, but from the side it is a raging flat sports car at the same time.

Special mention for the double white deflector on the front bumper, How is it that Mercedes does not transfer this detail to other models, is incredible that the AMG GT/4 doors survives this one, Mercedes cannibalized itself....

I seriously doubt some lights front or rear killed this car, now the rest I agree with. Well minus that about the E being “pretty”. The AMG GT 4-door in particular really did it.

I think the lack of distinction in combination with a (too) high price, did it. The AMG GT 4 door most certainly didn’t, at least not in Europe. Latter is a white raven, I can count the ones I’ve actually seen on the street on my fingers of one hand.

Yess, i haven't seen an amg gt 4 door on the road, only at MB World! I had previous CLS63, was waiting for new one which never happened, gt63 was too long to wait so purchased an e63.... The gt63s had huge discounts last year, over £20,000 gbp off. Went wrong not bringing the 53 here! Sales guy said it's an overpriced e class which says it all.

One of them will be discontinued. The same applies to the A-Class sedan, CLA and C-Class by 2030. In light of growing focus on EVs, Mercedes have too many ICE saloons.
They will be finished by 2030

A sedan
B class
CLA Shooting Brake
C class Estate, coupe, cabriolet (replace CLE)
E class Estate, coupe, cabriolet (replace CLE)
CLS
AMG GT 4 door
EQA
EQB
EQC
EQE
EQS

Since EQ nomenclature will be removed with new models, I wrote them as well. For example, w224 S series will come instead of EQS.

You can now get s GT 4d bumper for the CLS..
Now it looks even sharper and even more similar to the GT 4d.

It's one of the most anonymous looking Mercs ever. Aesthetically it has nothing unique to offer over an S-Class, A-Class or E-Class.

Not to a true MB fan.
The lower roofline, frameless doors, triangle headlights, and higher shoulders are just a few differences that give this car a distinct character compared to the conventional sedan themes of the E-Class and S-Class. It might share the dashboard of the E, as does the GT but the CLS feels different compared to the E. I have been in both.

Three years later I can’t jelly with the rear end design. It’s ungainly :(
