Hi fellow friends and members....I was offered a unique deal.

A pre facelit CL500 registered as a 2013 model with motor plan up to 2018....Note its a pre facelift.The car was somehow at MBSA plant and not sold or recorded....The car has450 km on the clock only.

A new 2014 CL 500 facelift costs in SA 1.75 around fully loaded ....I was offered the specific car at 1 million rands compared to a new around 1.75 million.

The car is a legitimate car and full motor plan from a MB dealer

What you guy's suggest...

It's amazing how these car's get lost in holding sheds! My brother had a A3 3.2 Quattro that was lost by Audi Australia for 2 years.

Only buy it if you love the car, not just because it's cheap. That's my advice.

Well I was thinking of a replacement for my E and don't know what to buy and this offer came....i don't know even which engine it has the 5.5 oe the 4.8 the guy said he get more info tomorrow....its very strange how no record of a car....

As good of a deal as it is, I wouldn't get it, the CL is outdated and for me I couldn't live with looking at the low resolution display day in day out. The new CL is around the corner and it is going to be a stunner. I think you should keep your money for now, can your E-class last for another year or two?

Hey that's true....My E can last easily 2 years can I keep it that's the problem....I have a very bad itch at the moment to change my car this seems to come every 6 months or so ha ha...My E is still immaculate...its a 2010 only 23000km on the clock...

The new CL or S coupe will definitely not be in my budget.

I wanted to buy a Porsche Cayman but my family has cut that out we live in a small community and unfortunately due to my business their is a lot of jealousy and stuff and my family don't want me in a Porsche I don't agree with them but I respect their views so that has been called of..

I was thinking of a AMG but the new E amg is toomuch.

LOL such an 'Indian' problem. I can say it since I am Indian. You are Indian right?

I agree with Monster though, you will satisfy your itch for a few months and then you will start to lament the 'dated' aspects of the vehicle. Which is still not cheap.

My Dads as follows....You know as it is people don't like you because of the business so lets leave the Porsche....Hmmm me and my dad had a few fights regarding this eventually I gave in deciding to respect my father....I am a good boy lol.

Regarding the CL its very tempting but I agree the tech will be old....More confused I don't know what Merc to buy.

Have you consider finding those rare MB like the CLK or C class black series, or even those C63 AMGs, they are going to be the last of the naturally aspirated V8 engines and it is definitely a future classic.

Yeah I saw a C63 the edition 507 .....WOW Its a best but the new shape coming.
Problem also with our rand gone so weak and the duel shooting I don't know if a AMG is the choice...

Maybe I should just wait for the new C class and buy one of those...I was considering a NEW S class but the problem is they not discounting and the thing is I buy one and in 6 months it comes with 9g and touchpad...

It baffles me why anybody would not buy the car they wanted because of what other people might think of them.

Unfortunately for me it's not as easy....We in a joint family business...I am the one who spends most on cars....And I guess I have to sometimes respect my family.

How about a used SL with an AMG kit? You should be getting some deals on them now? Unless you're not a fan of the styling. And it's all pretty up to date.

Not that it's any less conspicuous than a Porche.

The New SL are still very high...This car was just low Becuase it was lying at the factory so I was thinking to grab it but today I decided not to Pursue it.....I am not sure what to go for....

Get it ! I'm thinking about getting a pre facelift 63. I find the design nicer than the update.

It's funny people perceive the Cayman to be more expensive there... I also wanted one, but I can't get it into my garage because of the angle.

Also drove one of these 2 weeks back ! It was only 25 000 CHF ... very cheap and 45,000km. It does feel very old now though..... but the design is gorgeous.

Well it's not the Cayman the issue is my Family think Porsche is a problem...

There is a big difference between not caring what "other people" think and not caring what your family thinks.

@fortuner , I would keep the E class and the cash and wait for something you really want, which sounds like an AMG to me!
