What's to be proven? The 007 is going to be a full blown race car of one of the highest closed-cockpit categories while the AMG One will "just" be a very, very fast road car.

Jim's made the claim, apple and oranges or not. You'd expect the 007 race car to be faster, however there is the limited run of road cars to be considered, and then the question of what if someone puts full race slicks on the AMG One. As I said, it would be interesting.

What battle? Project One is not racing in any real race.
007 will race at Le Mans

Rumours recently appearing in the motorsports press that Sebastian Vettel may be driving an SCG 007 at the Le Mans 24 Hours event are exciting.

SCGs are race proven thoroughbreds. But the AMG One hasn't proven anything yet. Mercedes beating Stefan's record in a road car would be an astonishing achievement. But they could fall short. I mean 6:11 is a serious pace even for a race car. Let's see what happens.

What do you think of Alpine's decision to move into LMP1 using the Rebellion chassis next year and its fusion with the LMH category? I've been reading some reports regarding Toyota beeing vocal about this...

Do you think it'll jeopardize the class by them (Alpine) having an advantage, or will BoP strike to make things even?

I'm looking forward to this weekend to see how things will unfold at the Sarthe...

I agree with Toyota.
That said I see this as a non issue that BOP will easily solve.
