MotorauthorityAs was the case with the 003, the 004 will also spawn track-focused CS variant. This 004CS will be a special version that owners will be able to swap between road and race configurations. This means it can be driven on the road but with a few simple modifications can become a homologated race car.
All three have been designed with a carbon-fiber monocoque, mid-mounting for the engine, and a carbon-fiber body. They will also all come with a central driving position. In the case of the 004S and 004CS, there will be two additional passenger seats, one flanking either side of the driver just like in the McLaren F1.
The 004S will have a peak 650 horsepower, generated via a supercharged V-8. The engine is thought to be related to the LT4 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 fitted to the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which is known for its relatively small size and low center of gravity. A 6-speed manual with a gated shifter will be standard and SCG has hinted in the past about
adding a dual-clutch option.
Very much agree, I love the use of “passive” aero instead of active wings and flapsI am sure there are those more versed than me that can sing the praises behind the mechanics of this car (or any other car, for that matter). But I really dig how this car looks. Those rear lights remind me of the Maser 3200GT, and I love it.

I believe their reasoning behind their GM based engines is reliability and easy serviceability. Though I understand your perspective, supercar/hypercars get a lot from having a unique/exotic engine. On the other hand, off the shelf engines make it a lot easier for these boutique manufactures. Remember when Koenigsegg used Ford based engine in their early days.i would be a tad annoyed paying all that money for a vehicle with a small block Chevy engine in the back. I’d prefer it with a version of the quad cam Hyundai based engine in the race version.

Maybe you need a minivanThis is cool, but really not much of a road car. Rough, loud, visibility is poor and mirrors are wtf - trying to see anything out of those is gonna be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Then again, all of this is pretty much as expected, I guess
Any fool can slap a pair of number plates on a race car. Getting both the performance, the engagement, and refinement and daily usability is where the actual challenge is.Maybe you need a minivan

You dont buy cars from small manufacturers like these because you want whale leather and double 12.3 inch screens.
