Nice to see the views of everyone ..

I personally think...
When Lewis had the same experience as Verstappen today he also did mistakes from time to time, but now he is more mature and consistent so I would also put my money on Hamilton if they where put on the same team today.

Hamiltons most impressive season was maybe his first as you say when he technically beat Alonso, but Alonso and his fans will argue that Ron Dennis favoured Hamilton......

I think you have to be a really big Rosberg fan to believe he quit F1 for other reasons than the obvious one. He will never be among the great F1 champs and leaving just after finally winning F1 does not change that

I'm definitely no Nico Rosberg fan, but I can 100% respect his reasons for retiring when he did. I don't think anyone's arguing he has a place amongst F1's greats, but he is amongst F1's champions, and that's an accolade he earned beating a multiple world champion on his journey to being the maybe the sports GOAT, in the same machinery during the peak of his career... that's not insignificant by any measure.

Hamilton's first Championship win is by far the best case for any claim of his greatness, and it most reflected the promise he'd shown in the feeder series too.

but Alonso and his fans will argue that Ron Dennis favoured Hamilton

Lol, yeah, remember when Lewis was near enough blubbing in post race interviews because he thought Mercedes were favouring Nico, because Nico was beating him... I'm sure all arguments are true, from a certain point of view.

..makes few mistakes and probably the most consistent driver ever he makes very few mistakes over a season compared to others

Making fewer mistakes is not a stand alone driver attribute. It depends on the car, the team, the environment the driver is in. The most obvious case being - if you are trying to drive a slow car fast, you will make more mistakes than while driving a fast car slow.

When there was no F1 earlier this year, I started watching older seasons from F1 archives. Hamilton made a bunch of mistakes in 2010-2013. Far more than Vettel did. Complete opposite of the situation now. Cause Hamilton was trying to compensate for the car and the team deficiencies. Even in 2014-2016, he made more mistakes cause Rosberg wa getting into his head vs now when is in a very secure head space.

Not taking anything away from Hamilton, him + merc is the best there is and probably soon best ever was.

I have not said hamilton never makes mistakes he makes very few and i have been following f1 since before Senna and i feel and this is my opionion that lewis over the span of his career is prabbaly the most consistent driver f1 has ever had... Besides mistakes he is mostly in thr mix in qualifying even when he had poorer cars.. He also finishes races very consitantly he is on the podium consistently even before his Mercedes days..

If a car is slower you make more mistakes that maybe true for a williams or haas driver.. Not redbull driver as redbull is not slow jist bit slower thanks to Mercedes developing all the time.. Also redbull is one of the best handling car according to most pundits so that shouldnt be a cause for redbull or max to have more mistakes.. I mean for example what he did sunday is got nothing to do with a fast car... I think and again my opinion lewis has proved from his first race he is consistent smart and rarely makes mistakes.. Even his overtaking is usally more calculated comapred to maybe Max thats my views from all i beem watching.

Ha! guess you missed the 2011 season and the spate of Hamilton-massa incidents -

Almost all of these incidents were Hamilton's fault and he was penalized for it too. At one point he tried playing the racism card cause of the penalties, which of course was not cool. But to be fair, I think he has matured a lot as a driver and a person since then.

Before I get drafted into the orange brigade, I am no Max fan. He has made a bunch of clumsy moves himself. And fwiw, I am not anti-Hamilton either, in fact, he is the only driver I follow on Instagram (cause I identify with the social causes he champion and I applaud him for that).

Great to see Imola and Mugello on the calendar. We need more of these he-man circuits, as opposed to some of the boring ones we have today. On another note, I wish they would've kept the old bus stop chicane at Spa as well.

These are amazing circuits rich with history tooo..cant wait to watch these races also hope they not kicked out after covid.

It would be so interesting to let the drivers race on the whole Nürburgring. I know that it is not possible, but quod spiro spero.

Big loss for th Americas and businesses that generate income during grand prix weekends.

I don't the calender shuffle will stop here. However its good that racing is taking places and an 8-12 calendar season wouldn't be a bad thing.

Currently there are 13 races completed/scheduled. The aim is to get at least 16 races completed as that means sponsors have to make 100% of their payments.

It's expected that the season will end in November/December with a double-header in Bahrain, followed by a single race in Abu Dhabi in mid-December. That would take it to the magic 16 races.

However, I'm hearing rumours that two more races will be squeezed into the calendar in November. The new street circuit in Hanoi, followed by a return to Sepang in Malaysia.

There is also a clause which says a valid World Championship has to visit at least three continents. Even with the final schedule extending to 18 races, it would only visit two continents. The FIA is expected to waive this requirement.

Would be nice to see real courage and skill.

Maybe, but for actual racing it would be pretty terrible. I love the Nordschleife, but really, I think it works for endurance events, not for sprint type races.

Friend of mine posted this on my FB profile today, reminding me about real F1 (engines, drivers, etc...) and said fvck F1 today, this was F1, not this $h!t we look at today and i agree with him 300%.
