Will Mattia Binotto survive the season ? And I wonder how Carlos Sainz Jr. is feeling about joining Ferrari in 2021.

Leaving Italy for that country on its' northern borders:

The likeable Alex Albon is seriously waning in the comparison to his teammate. I'm becoming increasingly less confident that he'll be driving for RBR-Honda next season. And I am no longer considering the very recent statements by Christian Horner to be the gospel. This could evolve into a very interesting development on the forefront of the 2021 season.

I read that Lafiti’s father is one of the big investors in the Williams team. So this is another driver which his father has bought him a driver seat in F1 then!? Judging by his results so far he is not in F1 because of pure speed....

I don’t think they will kick out Binotto this year, but next year he must really show some results I think.
Sainz should be worried, yes.....
It’s a pity Albon is not doing it better, because as you say he seems to be a symphatic person. Not like «I am the best and never do mistakes- Verstappen (although he has calmed down a bit with the years), and Horner with his bullshit talk. But in F1 nice personality is not what counts, only speed. Well, and money....

Albon was never going to be as strong as Max but I think he is good. He was just unfortunate to clash with Lewis a few weeks ago.

If Ferrari don't win a race this year or finish below third in the constructors championship, Binotto will get the boot.

How was max voted driver of the day ?

He almost had a d...

May be because he was the only non-merc car to be not lapped by Hamilton?

Also shows how effing useless Bottas is to not come 2nd with that rocket ship that is 1 lap faster, now that he got his usual 1 year lease.

Binotto should have got the boot when he decided to cheat.

Actually, in all fairness I didn't watch the race, checked the timing halfway through and saw Lewis was 42 seconds up the road. Hopefully he keeps this up, I will celebrate if he wins the title.

Why is Max not worthy of ''driver of the day'' ? he is the only driver on the grid who is giving hard time to at least 1 of the silver rocket ships (now they are dressed in lovely black). If you don't acknowledge how good Max drove during Hungary GP then you must not understand how F1 works, the guy is consistently keeping a 'free pitstop' on his teammate who drives identical car.

I am not meaning max is not a very good driver I just dont feel he deserved it not in my opinion as for his teammate I think his teammate needs time still and Redbull clearly has their main driver and all the backing goes to him same when seb was in the team ..

So, Mercedes are in a different league, it became boring how good they are improving by race while others still lag way behind. Well done for building possibly ''the best F1 car ever'', the car is well balanced between down force and straight line top speed, you can see how good the car handles in the last Hungary circuit turn, all the cars (including pink Mercedes) are having hard time to maintain the car on the last run while Lewis and Bottas are cruising around the circuit.

Racing point managed to get '' almost podium'' to Lance stroll which is possibly the least talented driver on the grid which tells you how good is the car (2019 Merc copy).

Max is still carrying Redbull, and its just sad to see how far away is Albon from him, I'm sure Redbull misses Ricchardo right now.

Ferrari played the strategy game very well on Vettel, otherwise he wouldn't finish in this place, the car was miserable but a bit better than last week. Surprisingly, Vettel was better almost the whole weekend, but Charles showed some guts trying to overtake and defending against Noris.

Exiting race overall with the rain and tire mixed strategies.

Actuall...

You can already put that bubbly in the cooler.

Following race 2 at the RBR Ring and Hungary, I now cannot possibly conceive any other driver than Lewis clutching the WDC crown in 2020. The dominance is overwhelming. But I do hope that Valtteri can at least occasionally be a thorn in his side. Best of the rest ? Hopefully Max, although those pink Benzes of Checo and Lance are looking formidable.. Verstappen is fighting with a dull sword and I had really hoped that he and RBR could take the fight to Lewis/M-B and make the 2020 WDC a "down to the wire" affair. No such luck in the cards, I'm afraid.

I am not meaning max is not a very good driver I just do...
Staying ahead of Bottas while starting from P7 is something worthy when you drive a 2020 Redbull car against 2020 Silver Arrow. Yeah I hated 2017 and 2018 Max, but I like 2019 and 2020 mature Max, for me he is the best driver on the grid right now, but that's subjective. Lewis is also very good but we cant compare both, one drives and F1 car and the other drives a car that lapped both Ferrari's.

Have to agree with that. Max is to me the most talented driver on the grid right now.

He is destined to drive an MB once Hamilton retires. The 2022 RB has to really be a thing but this not to happen IMO.

The attributes of maturity and experience arguably make Lewis Hamilton "the most complete" driver on the current grid. I'd personally rate him as being one of the two fastest (along with Max Verstappen). A Lewis/Max pairing in a top car/team would be immensely tantalizing-but I personally do not see this happening. This makes me all the more wishful that Sebastian Vettel may join RBR-Honda, partnering Max, after all. Most recent ramblings indicate that this constellation cannot be categorically dismissed after all. I also suspect that Max and Seb may actually get on as teammates quite well. A re-booted, fresh and highly motivated Seb will be quite capable of pushing Max very near or at the limits methinks. This would be highly beneficial for both drivers (rehabilitation for Seb, premium combat experience for Max) as well as the team.

Ha, if only... Ferrari wanted to put Vettel on softs too like Leclerc. It was actually Vettle's call to go for mediums -

They still screwed him by pitting him second though he was the lead car and having to hold him for 7 secs. It is amazing how consistently Ferrari effs up strategy.

How can you say this when Hamilton is still on the grid....

Honestly mate, not sure if you have a crush on Hamilton or what, but denying Verstappen talent is just silly.

Hamilton has 6 WCs because he has a car that is just beyond anything else we haven seen on this sport since Lord knows when. He is so talented, but his 6 championships would not be there without the car he has driven. Same can be said about Vettel, Schumi, etc. For brilliant drivers to win championships, they need a car up to the task.

How many winning cars has Max got?
