newest info from the german Auto-Motor-Sport-Magazine:

As it seems, the tomorrow (3-7-08) issue is embargoed until this friday. This would mean it comes 1 day late...

...maybe despite other reports, this is related to pictures from the new 7 series?

anyway, there has never been a AMS-embargo until one day after its regular release...

Hard to believe, I´ll try to get a copy by tomorrow morning here in Berlin. And why should AMS show a fake front page on it´s website? :eusa_thin Best regards, Swingfan

As l understand it on 7-forum.com, it says it wont be presented in Lang version, only 730d, 740i and 750i ... Is this possible !?

According to it website, BMW Museum will be exceptionnally closing tomorrow afternoon, 3rd July, for a special event .....
What could it be ???

It's an event in the "Begegnungen" room ("Encounters") where BMW 2002 & Isetta are displayed, and the vintage photos of owners enjoying in / with those two cars.

So ... Nothing to do with F01. :usa7uh:

You can really feel the tension building up here, everybody want's to to see tha cer in it's definite shape but as already said BMW is doing a fantastic job on keeping the pics a secret, i like that :t-cheers: even do I to want to see it very much now :eusa_pray

Just a few more days of patience and then :t-roses::bowdown::bowdown:

People from bmwclub.ru (Russia) say that there is a big scene in Moscow already, soon may be i will post here some photos of the construction.

I don't have any other information, the only thing i know is that all web cameras in Moscow, that show the Red Square are disconnected!

I'm not sure "Never stand still" event has something to do with F01 7er.

:t-hands:

Since "The new era" campaign has a working title "A premiere before a world premiere" we can be sure that's the official F01 / f02 7er campaign.

Just like the eg. "The coupe above" was an official campaign for X6.

But I have no info yet what this "Never stand still" event is all about.

:t-hands:

Btw, the countdown for the event ends (according to the counter) on July 9th at 0:00.

So, what is this event all about, what is behind the curtains, and what is the "next step"???? :t-hands:

I'm completely clueless on this one, sorry. And my both bloody sources are on vacations. :t-banghea

You are right about the july 9, but this campaign seems to be huge and i really doubt they would annouce a big thing just two days after revealing the F01.

IMO "Never stand still" will be kind a opening event for a temporary exhibition of some kind of dynamic / moving installation. Perhaps something to do with BMW cars, or perhaps BMW brand in general. Something that will be there on display during the whole Summer.

I'm really not sure this event has anything to do with a launch / premiere of a new production model.

Too close to F01 7er premiere event, and FL E90/91 press release.

Or perhaps BMW is just lunching new line of bicycles or skate boards. Never stand still. Move all the time. :D

I'm still amazed that BMW can keep the lid on things until the launch date. You'd think someone with a little ingenuity would have managed to sneek out a picture by now.

It'll be interesting to see how well this model sells with the global declining economy and soaring gas prices. Auto sales in the US have made a huge shift away from larger cars and trucks to smaller cars. And it is now more "cocktail party friendly" to brag about owning a Prius than it is to yap about your new luxury land yacht. Time will tell.

So poorly misinformed. The people that can afford this car don't really gives 2 seconds thought to oil prices and global warming.

HAHA...Yes! BMW is taking the Apple approach with this 7 series announcement. :t-banghea Driving me insane.
