The XC90 like the Q7 aren’t full sized SUVs. They are between a GLE and GLS in size. There will be plenty of demand for a larger one in the USA, Middle East and China.

Even Porsche are developing a larger SUV.

I can't find a thread labeled "Volvo, what's next?" so here it is, since Volvo wants to go head-to-head with the Germans in almost every SUV arena.

Volvo is planning a flagship three-row hybrid SUV that will be positioned above the XC90 to meet the growing demand for "F-segment" models in the US and China.

At just over five meters long, the XC90 is already one of the largest hybrid SUVs on sale in Europe, but Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson has confirmed that "we are looking at larger SUVs."

yet still...an electric S/V60 successor in the form of a genuine low ride height sedan/estate could fascinate me. The new ES90 is a bit "difficult" to identify as a "sedan". It strikes me as being more of a "sedan meets SUV Crossover". I love the surfacing of the sheetmetal and the more cabin rearwards profile, but it is IMHO simply too tall.

An electric S/V60 could rival the likes of the BMW NA0 i3, M-B C-Class EQ and upcoming Audi A4 etron.

The door handles will become a very big problem, there’s really no manual release.

Because I am very skeptical towards these E-Door handles.

Volvo has knocked it out of the park. The interior practicalities are so extensive and well throughout that it will make the EX60 one of the best cars to live with.

This is the first EV that I truly lust to own. I love the exterior design and the little door handles make the doors look cleeeeeean. The EX60 has the calm and confident aura of a full fat Range Rover but for way less.

Will likely be a home run for families!

Yup. Geely have been exemplary stewards of the brand. The brand identity and design ethos remains the same but is now a touch more aspirational and less boring(overly cautious).

The new EX60 is, in the sum of it's exterior/interior design attributes, just "YES" for me. Perhaps the most elegant, timelessly designed SUV PERIOD. It is, along with the ix3, an embodiment of the "cool" German colloquialism "Der heisse Scheiss'".
