M3/M4 E92 M3 discussion thread III

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
I'm wondering would anyone express their dissapointment if the M3 wasn't worth the hype? It seems to me that BMW can't do any wrong on this form when it comes to the M3. I'm only asking a question that was on my mind, I honestly hope know one takes my question the wrong way.

I certainly will speak out if the new M3 is a disappointment. And I will spend my $$ elsewhere in that case as well . . .

Here we go guys! Cannot wait.

I'm positive the car will be excellent. Not only does it have to be better than the RS4, it's already got to raise the heat due to the 335i. It has to be THAT much better if they are going to increase the price. Plus we've seen so much testing that there's no way they are messing around with this one. Every M3 that has come out so far has been a legend. Every single one of them. This one hopefully will not be any different.

Guys guys guys check this out, the new M3 in Geneve

Some guys at the show are reporting ''Rumours of leaked paperwork at Geneva this morning already say 4.0L V8, 440 HP, 330 kW, 440 N.m 0-100 km/h in 4.6 secs..''

Wow there's the car (although covered). Easily going to be one of the most popular ones at the show.
If those stats are correct, then I think it is fair to say the engine exceeded my expectation. I was expecting around 420 hp.

Im bowing down before I seen the car

:D

That link will keep my occupied for a while. This is so awesome!

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
