M3/M4 E92 M3 discussion thread II

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

BMW M have gone on record saying that the new M3 will have it's International debut at the IAA in Frankfurt next September.
The "highlights 2007" is actually the proposed release dates for press information. In which the new BMW M3 will officially have it's press release in July 2007. And besides development and evaluation programme is in no way complete as yet. Though you will get the teaser earlier.

And the teaser will be the "Concept M3" in Geneva 2007??

Any word on the 6speed manual?

Regards south

The car has got to be so close to the final stages of development. It looks like they're testing the optional accessories?

Hope to see it soon. Because it promises to be one hell of a car!

Freakin' Sweet!!!! That looks so awesome. Damn...I can't wait until this beast is released. I'm definitely going to test drive this as soon as it is released...and hopefully buy it a year afterwards...you know let the bugs be worked out.

The M3 is using the carry box as a load development test on the Carbon Fibre reinforced roof which is painted in the car's body color just as BMW done with the M6.
This part of the development process is to check for additional weight placed on the roof structure a test that was also conducted on the M6 .
At BMW we test everything although this choice of vehicle might be unorthodox for additional carrying storage , I guarantee that there will be someone who eventually will do this.

And now BMW have made the new M3 as noisy as an Aston Martin and I am meaning that beautiful tone that sprouts from the engine bay and the exhausts.

And now the M3 Touring has hit the first stages of development .

But the Carbon roof on the M6 is not painted, it's always black!??

What's about the M3 sedan?

but i notice some things...

3 pictures are the same with not taped mirrows and the stearing wheel is on the left side, but if you're looking close the picture number three, it has a different numberplate and the steering wheel is on the right with taped mirrows???

Nice, now I can imagine myself how the car is going to look like! Is E92 M3 going to have the transmission from M5's V10?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
