M3/M4 E92 M3 discussion thread II

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

Must be a marketing tool by BMW to hype it's forthcoming products, I swear.

Zafar....Screw Laguna Seca Blue...bring back Estoril Blue!!! That is the best blue color on any car, EVER!!!!!

I guess i'm biased cuz my M3 was Estoril...:D

By the way...the car is looking hot but I don't like those wheels as much as the last ones...anyone else agree?

hehe yep the estoril is hot to..but thats more like just blue..the laguna seca is green blue..i love that:D

Those wheels are obviously not production wheels..they look like hell..
but i think there are pics with the real wheels some pages back in this thread

Not sure if these are new are not but they are apparently photos of the M3 saloon

Hello!

According to an alleged "highlights 2007" dealer brochure the new M3 will hit the showrooms in July 2007: http://forums.roadfly.com/forums/bmw/bmw_m3_e90_e92/8111582-1.html

Only transmission is said to be 6speed manual! SMG/ZSG seems to follow later.

Any thoughts?

Regards south

Sounds awesome to me, and the info on Roadfly is usually right. Lot's of owners there!!

July 2007 is for the U.S market? If so, we'll see the car in it's final form sooner than expected. Maybe Geneva then! Can't wait!

6 speed manual only for starters sounds great to me!

Well, it says July 2007 for european Market.

6 speed manual is really cool; I've always been hoping BMW would offer a manual! :-)

regards,
south

BMW M have gone on record saying that the new M3 will have it's International debut at the IAA in Frankfurt next September.
The "highlights 2007" is actually the proposed release dates for press information. In which the new BMW M3 will officially have it's press release in July 2007. And besides development and evaluation programme is in no way complete as yet. Though you will get the teaser earlier.
Although Frankfurt is going to be THE car event in 2007.
BMW are lining up 4 world premieres (not including updates or facelifts) in their custom designed arena.

BMW, or BMW Group?

BMW: M3, 2er, (X5 "is" ????, Z4 targa ????)
MINI: Traveller / Clubman wagon
RR: Camargue (101EX) coupe

;):D

Not the X5 'is' Eni. That would be an update and not a new model.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
