Sadly the time has come to say good bye to the A6:eusa_doh:

As much as I love Audis...Our A6 has been a piece of sh!t! Problems after problems:t-banghea

On the first by of purchasing it the the coolant level dropped dramatically, cost to fix £10 on coolant.

Second: a front axle rod needed replacing, £150 for part + labor

Third: drivers side air bag needed repairing, no cost (warranty)

Fourth: Catalytic Converter Warranty again (phew) But took about 4 weeks to repair and very bad courtesy cars:eusa_doh:

Fifth: oil pressure dropped due to blocked pipe, part £35...£425 labor due to engine/ suspension needed dismantling. :t-banghea

Sixth: drivers side lock broke, £50.

Seventh: catalyst went AGAIN! Warranty again:eusa_doh:

Eighth: turbo broke, £650 + plus labor, that was for an un official Audi turbo, official would have cost 700+

And Finally today there has been a serious squeaking and rattling coming from the front left suspension/breaks:eusa_doh:

Soo we shall say good bye to the Audi and say hello to something small, cheap and economical untill next year!

Will keep you all updated on the new car soon as:D:usa7uh:

I have a feeling I am going to be beaten up and kicked out of the Audi fan group:D

I'm sorry boys:usa7uh:

This should be a busy thread

He should have bought a C-class. :D

^ Oh don't worry James -- the Merc and Beemer guys will love it :D

haha, you throw chum in the water, the sharks will come.

The A6 went through 8 turbos?? That's an impressive number, I don't care who you are.

And when you say catalyst, do you mean the catalytic converter?

Hehe Let them enjoy it then:D

And nooo I was counting yup and in 1st 2nd 3rf 4th....

And finally yes, catalytic converter Sorry I'm using slag! a catalyst is something which speeds up a chemical reaction:D

We had it replaced once then the warning light came up again, which it then needed replacing again for some reason I will never know!

That's absolutely crazy. The cost of those turbos alone would have made me go bankrupt. And I can't believe it took 4 weeks to replace the catalytic converter? I'm assuming that includes diagnostic time as well, but goodness. Hope you have better luck with your next car :usa7uh:
