Concept BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe concept

Future car concepts, design studies, prototype vehicles, emerging technologies, and previews of what may come next.
It may been a small photo, but that rear-end doesn't look all that exciting or promising. The thin Lincoln-like lights, and the massive rear window. But hey, it's just a design project.

Totally agree, that little picture last, brake my emotion fully, it has nothing to do with the sketch.

Hopefully not a disappointment.

Agree with the above.

As opposed to the sketch of what may have promised to be an immensely attractive automobile, the admittedly unclear photograph warrants scepticism. The car in the photograph does not appear to be remotely as rakish as the one in the illustration. Its' greenhouse appears "high"-dare I say, almost a bit "3/5 series GT-ish". Not very becoming for a large, luxurious 2+2 GT car.

Then again, it may simply be an optical illusion.

It is simply a 6 series being modded.

Totally not a new model being put into production. Q

Do you know that for a fact?

As I said the development on the compact , sub-Compact class is completed and now BMW turns their attention to the luxury market.
Mercedes-Benz are now doing the opposite.

Not really. Mercedes has a whole gamut of yet to be released top end stuff.

Yeah, S coupe, Pullman, SLC.
What does BMW have other than the next 7er and some fan dreams?

7 Series Gran Coupe, i8 and then the new 7 with greater differentiation between SWB and LWB?

I believe the Mercedes program is as follows:
Grand S-class
Pullman
S-class convertible
S-class 4 door coupe (speculated)
SLC

Yeah i8 maybe although I think that it doesn't count. For the rest nothing has been announced.

Still to come ... The public opening event @ Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este starts today @ 20.00 CEST. So expect the premiere sometimes at that time ... or perhaps a bit before the opening.

Here we go :)

Like someone said earlier, I get a TON of Lincoln from the back and ever since they said it, I can't unsee it. The front lights are "odd" but handsome(?).......I love the concept of the car (Large V12 Luxury coupe) and the profile is drop dead gorgeous. The interior (despite those horrid shiny "Corinthian"-esque leather seats) is standard BMW chic and quite well done.

P.S. The model's ankle boots had me mesmerized.

not very fond of headlamps, and back looks dull, other than that it looks sweet. maybe overhangs are too big too

yes, that´s a very beautiful car!!
i think, it gives a hint, how the new 7er will look like. led-headlights don´t need so much space...

Looks good.....not quite up to Concept CS levels. That car looked amazing in Frankfurt when I saw it so this might provoke the same reaction if I ever saw it in the metal.
