I can't give to a link to a public post because with over 6000 posts it's almost impossible to find, but here's a PM sent to a member here dated 27th of October last year, well before any official information was released by BMW.
My info came from a competitor, yes it appears both keep a very close eye on the competition. According to that info the 'CP' meaning competition package was being quickly developed in reaction to the RS5. That info suggested a lap time some where between the current M3 and the old CSL, they expected a slight reduction in weight (i.e. no elec seats, thinner glass, lighter alloys, mild aerodynamic tweaks etc) but no power hike.
I got a few items wrong but as I said in the PM the info wasn't coming direct from M-Division but from a competitor. Also note how accurate I was with the GTS, info that very few people knew at the time, but then I do make everything up as I am only a 14yrs boy that just happens to guess everything that apparantly comes true.![]()
Few things wrong? Lol, you got almost everything wrong. The CP doesn't reduce weight, has electric seats, no aero dynamic changes and you missed the real CP stuff - suspension and dsc changes. Seriously dude, little unsolicited advice for you - when in a hole stop fking digging - even 14 year olds know that.
