M3/M4 [Official] BMW M3 & M4 Competition Package (F80/F82)

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
M2 Comp.

I could be wrong, but I have serious doubts that we'll see BMW do a RWD perfomance car in this segment after this gen.

Quick question for you guys: late model M4 Comp or M2 Comp to hold onto long-term?

Like my bros I'd say M2 too, particularly when fitted with these extremely sexy performance parts like the CF hood part, fender part, CF roof, these super sexy new M rear seats, etc.

But the RWD I6 coupe below the 4er is going to stay @hoffmeister_fan, no doubt.

Yes the G42 remains RWD.
A family member who has been with the 1er and its Prinzip Freude since 2004 and to both generations of F20 has been invited to see the new 1er. Which they are now inviting owners to an exclusive preview of the new car. Which apparently is an even greater leap over the F20 in many areas (other than drivetrain, however) ;)

Will the next gen have a 6 speed manual hooked up to an inline-6 without any sort of electrification?

At this stage, I'd say it's anyone's guess. Information regarding power and drivetrain is mostly speculation

Definitely, what I was getting at is that if you are looking for a "purer" driving experience, I'd opt for the M2 Comp as it's difficult to determine what's around the corner. Though there's very strong speculation that the next M3/4 will have a 48V system attached between the engine and the transmission. And I say it's very strong speculation because that's according to van Meel himself. So that's what has me hedging my bets that the next M2 might employ that solution or something else that'll buffer some of that "purity."

So with respect to Sako's "dilemma," if I was in his driving loafers, I'd choose a future classic like the M2 Comp. And considering he has many other options available to him to drive that are more cossetting to drive, this would be a nice change of pace. Though he may very well have different priorities, so there's that. Whatever he opts will be a solid choice.

That wing looks tacked on and not in harmony with the rest of the car.

Last month I was luck to have a Jaguar Project 8 drive behind me. Holy sh*t is looked incredble. The wide fenders and large wing gives it a road-legal-DTM car look.

Rear wings can be appropriate if done right.

The scenes of the placement of the M Performance parts are nice

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
