Anyway.. it looks like crap compared to the previous one.

Front is better, and thats about it.

Side profile is worse

Interior is same old thing with some new bits and pieces.


And the rear..wow that is such a FAIL.
Lights are ugly and huge, and the black surrounding of the window..wtf is that?

E70 looks more muscular and spoty, there is no doubt.

E70 is just sublime. My choice. F15 has it's good bits, but there is too much going on at the front.

Actually i think the front of the old one is better, much purer and in the end better designed, the old back is also better, side profile if taken apart is better on the new one, pit they included that crap vent.New Interior is fresher and so by default better.

This will be a fine looking SUV, even 10 years forward. The 1st gen, and defenitely the new one, have nothing on this beauty.

There's no doubt the E70 is one of the best looking SUV's out there. But is the F15 that bad looking? No. My only complaint is that the details on the front dam area are too fussy (really endemic of BMW as of late) and the lines of the rearlights need to be "butched" up. Interior's fine if not anything revolutionary. I don't expect any major interior design changes until we see the next 7er.

Problem is it's 'ugly' interior. Competely past it's date now. Old, plastic and plain.

Well, that's a shame as the S-class stepped up their game. But then again, BMW has a more minimalist approach whereas M-B's is more about opulence. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

When parts of an excellent design as the E70 is normal that the new model does not please us.
The same happened seven years ago when presented the E70, it's just a matter of time to get used to F15, and I can say that it has all the good that E70 had, but improved and adapted to the future, for the next seven years to remain the number 1.
If there is anything to criticize is play too safe whith the design, too evolutionary.
The interior is sublime...

We have to give them credit when they deserve it. EnI was the first one to claim the F15 X5 was going to look somehow like a big X1, and he has not lied.

I think it is safe not to expect a change in the interior of the G11 as big as from E65 to F01.

When the Vision Connected Drive was shown, there was all this talk about the G11 having a high tech interior with separate screen for the co driver etc.
Now BMW shows a new X5 with 'old' interior and the tune changes, like it always does.

We'll see. It's too early right now.

G11 interior: it wont be & it won't look revolutionary at all. Especially after BMW i cars being launched. Yes, there are some changes (some new hardware controls etc), but not as big as in the case of E38 -> E65, not even E65->F01. The current layouts & trends as seen in the latest BMW models (ie. stand-alone iDrive display etc) will continue in G11 as well.

And also the i8 cars: there will feature quite some stuff / layouts / solutions from the existing BMW models.

And as you can se lately: layering is going more & more prominent in the interior, so ...

Regarding interactive head-up display for front passenger: it's in the works but I'm not sure it will be featured in G11 already at launch. More probably with some later MY. The automated driving, intercar communication & eg. laser head lights are also such cases. It also depends on legislature changes - so the homogenizations for such tech are even possible. So, it depends on external factors as well.

Not one bit.

No surprisse here, BMW use to have a bunch of perfect design and one or two considerably worse. It might be the X5 turn this time around.

Regarding the G11, at least this time there is not the artificial hype he had with the F01, the DOS vs Windows, the "F01 evolutionary, next one revolutionary" or the CS to hype the new 7er. We can expect more realistic results.

What do I expect? The F01 is a very good car, with the rumored changes it could be again up to date. But what EnI talks about seems to sugests the G11 will have no emotion, as the F01. Which won´t make it a worse car.

As I´ve said, I´m looking forward the new M4 and M2. The true BMWs.

I like E70 in all aspects. F15 is a plus only in the interior. E70, what a car ! I remember that I criticized it a lot at first, as I was in love with the E53. E53 was a perfect combination of pure SUV luxury,comfort,performances and beautiful design. It looked so masculine. So,I thought when I saw the first pics of the E70 that it looked more feminine,more rounded (which back then was not too good IMO). But, when I first saw an E70 in reality, my God, it was love at first sight. I was totally in love with it, it became my favourite SUV, and I loved those special rims called in my country "snowflake". An X5 was always more beautiful than the ML rival, but I think with this new F15 it won't be the same. For the first time I like the ML over the X5. I had greater expectations with this car but BMW made it a big dissapointment. I like only the rear on the exterior and I must say that I like the interior. Front is totally boring, profile looks weird.
