the engine note isnt great. Doesnt sound like an M car, very dissapointed!

M3 E92 is the last M car to love if you prefer the sound of N/A engines.

The truth hurts. Every time someone reminds me, the scar gets deeper :(

I really wish I was a rich SOB born in the late 60's so that I could have lived and experienced some of the best M cars ever made.

That would be neigh impossible even with all the money in the world, since there was no M division, let alone M cars in the 60s. 3.0CSL (first car made by M division) only came in 72 and first "M car" - M1 only much later in 78 or 79. Another tidbit "purists" probably don't like to recall, the fire breathing race versions of much revered Batmobile had some crazy ass turbo engines.

It's time you put the optimism hat back on your head mister! Engines go through cycles depending on economic, political and technological changes. In 3-5 years, hybrids and electic drivetrains will have developed to the level that manufacturers will use electric motors to suppliment NA engines. The S400 hybrid, a mild-hybrid, is a stepping stone for a migration from forced induction to supplimentary drivetrains.

Er, yes, but I don't think BMW Power was planning on driving in the 60's when he would have been a small child. He meant that by the time he was a late teen, the best M cars will have just been launched. :eusa_doh:

So nice try Sunny, but not quite good enough. :eusa_clap

Globalization at its finest...BMW, a German brand is using a Janapese motorcycle to shoot at the United States!

Lovely!

The equipment belongs to the film company and it does not matter if it is a non-BMW product. To get caught up on the why's of that question we completely miss the point of the original intention.

The camera attached to the Bike is one such idea we use - Why? A BMW is an extremely agile car and when we bring M into the equasion you get a car that is astounding through every corner we like to communicate the BMW image via our cars and when I mean our cars not one car to show off what the company is capable of , but the specific car we aim to market, in this case the 1M Coupe.

The equipment we are using is to showcase the dynamic attributes of the 1M Coupe and these specially mounted cameras allow us to get specific dynamic shots and really amazing footage for this car , we also have a Porsche cayenne Turbo with another gyro crane mounted camera.

In the end . It's all about using the best in the filming business for our products. We will be using it for the MINI Coupe - Also a car you should really , really get excited about... ;)

I will not be @ Oktoberfest but neither will they be using our car , I think one of the prototypes has been brought over for the preview.

That was really.....ugm.....funny???

Yeah....

I think so, on account of it being a very ambiguous question; does he mean the possible convertible version, or is it a reference to the questioned use of turbo chargers in M-engines?

:t-cheers:
