^ It looks like it hit something in the blinker area? Or is it just awkward looking because of the bigger fenders?
I do like the Competition Package front bumper resemblance! Skirt and CF roof is nice too,but the blinkers are not so much in M slyle ;) And the M typical air vent on the side is maybe a bit smallish.

Either way, I have no idea what that chop is doing in Scottie's avatar...

in these pics you see a black roof reflection but at the back it s sedona red again???? Why on earth put a testcar on 19 inch if you say the production ready version is on 18inch??? Why test with 135i bumper and not with newer bumper with camo on.

Someone sent me the image and I put it by for later.

@ Adeveo- If you look closely and compare to the same pictures of the same car captured at Garching you can see the carbon Fibre Roof is half covered in painted vinyl in this case Sedona Red. If you go back to the M6 and indeed the M3 the Carbon Fibre Roofs were covered in vinyl and in some cases a sunroof was carved out to suggest that it was a regular roof therefore increasing the deception.

I cant say for sure if there is 19" wheels I only said it looks like again it could be the fact that the car is in the conventional bodyshell and not the suggested aeropacket. The wheels on the car I have seen are eighteen inch.

This is one of the first prototypes and before it had it's first appearance it was being tested internally at BMW' Testing facilities in South of France and in Germany , it is now in Winter testing and will head over to North America and South Africa for hot weather testing also.

The tests are mainly conducted on the engineering first hence the 135i body over M1 mechanicals. It's a new engine so they will be extensive on making sure it is at it's optimum range.
Prototypes using the actual aerokit will hit the streets of Munich late Spring but will be covered in typical BMW Camouflage.

It's a well done chop but there is an over reliance on the M3 for looks.
Yes the M3 has led the direction of how M were going with their aeropackets but each M will be different in style and element.
The central intake should be more Trapezoid in shape like a diamond with the shorter edges at the bottom and the longer edges at the top.

The headlights follow the typical M formula that if you look at the current M cars and their street counterparts from M3 , M5 and M6 you can see they have faired in headlights with the "eyebags" being part of the front facia. This gives the 1 a more deeper aggressive face. The front wings are of course wider and constructed from reinforced thermo plastic, there is a good indication here to see how the wings will form with the extension of the track. The bonnet bulge and air scoops are not here.

The mirrors are similar to the M3 in shape, The side scoop is actuall longer (height wise) but does not run the length of the front wheel arch.
The conventional M side scoop with the bar incorporating insignia and indicator at the top . The side skirts protrude with more sculpture and the rear arches complement the thermoplastic bootlid are wide due to the accomodation of the rear track , the arches are not as wide as seen in the fake arch. The overall look is something similar to the E46 M3 fluid , muscular and discreet about it's intentions.

What's up with that?

Twitter / BMWBLOG: Sorry guys, no M1 at Genev ...

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

What a big fcuking let down if it is really not their. I guess all we get is some stupid hybrids with fugly wheels instead.

And where is mr scott wenn you need some answers. He was the one. He was the man who said we see an M1 on geneve.

^ I think the pack of cards really has fallen, but not on the ground but in the water.

Do what i always do, lower your expectations, never expect anything.
