BMW at the Geneva International Motor Show 2017

Don't expect "much" from BMW Group till 2021.

Apart from new Mks of existing models and regular facelifts the most exciting offerings will include brand new i8 Roadster, X2 SAC and X7 SAV.

Some special sport(ier) versions ala i3s, i8s, M2 CS, M4 CS.

There will be some rebadging. Eg. 5erGT -> 6er GT; 6er -> 8er etc.

MINI Countryman & BMW X3 will get full-electric versions in 2020 and 2019.

Rolls-Royce will introduce brand new Cullinan LAV (Luxury Activity Vehicle).

The next exciting era starts in 2021 with iNext vehicle, fully electric & autonomous. Following by Mk2 BMW i models. And hybridization & electrification of other core models beyond X3.

Ver2.0 modular platforms (both UKL and CLAR) will be made in full electrification in mind. So, they won't be modular only by size but also by type of powertrain. They will be truly universal. Very costly R&D! Therefore BMW is piling up cash. Also much will be invested in new battery tech (solid state), autonomous driving & mobility services (car & ride sharing etc).

Also BMW is creating a safety net for the case of new import / border taxes in US, various trade wars around the globe, hard Brexit scenario etc.

Well, it could be worse. Like making ugly shit for the sake of making it, like MB with that AMG 4 door monstrosity.

A simple M5 will take care of that. No need for new models that act the same as existing models.

There will be an M8 Gran Coupe as well as the new M5. You should really get excited about the M2 and M4 CS models how to make greatness even greater, as well as the next X3 for instance the interior is much improved in layout, design, detail and consider to be important, quality.
Of all the Autobild renders shown of the X3 there is an older render that actually got the appearance right.
Who knows Klier you might even like the new Gran Turismo? again it's emphasis and first class excellence is sired from the 7er.

Does it means there are chances to see full electric 3/5/7-Series?

The anti-climax of a Competition Pack with M-Performance accessories included is palpable...

Which M-Performance Accessories? (n)
Or do you mean GTS accessories? At least CF hood, lightweigth structure for instrument cluster, front splitter are obviously taken over from GTS ... bootlid spoiler is completely new... I expect serious track performance from the M4 CS.
Finetuning their products is currently something, where ///M really excells! It will wipe the floor with its several years fresher rivals ... just like the competition pack did :)

Is there something going on internally at BMW? They're just not hitting on anything anymore. Dull re-designs, nothing really new or exciting. Just the same old cars being redesigned to look like the previous model. Where is the exciting concept or new segment product that isn't a SUV?

Well, there is a 8er coming, for what is worth.

Plus the M5 and a rumored hardcore M4.

The hood and splitter, yes.. these at least show some intent, but simply taken from the GTS... Instrument Cluster carrier part number 51458066699 isn't going to impress anyone unless it brings a 50kg wight saving.

Bootlid spoiler is completely new...

Is it? Looks like an existing M-Performance item to me.. maybe part number 51192350722

I expect serious track performance from the M4 CS.

I expect a price premium over the Competition pack, and mixed reviews thereafter...

The M4 CS and M2 CS improve on already great cars. And a new M5 Concept is due.

The i3S which if you know the i3 even before 94h then you know how crazy it's acceleration is.
Wait till you try the i3S.
The revised BMW i8 LCI with minimal changes, the addition of the super gorgeous i8 Roadster and the performance orientated i8S which takes its cue from the much praised Formula E Safety Car.

A new 8er family of Coupe,Cabrio and Gran Coupe. The next generation of BMW X3 is going to be popular especially in markets where the X3 runs close to ubiquitous 3er. Which receives a replacement model to increase its lead in 2018.
The new 5er model on sale for under a month has hot the market running, the new Touring will help this as will the addition of the Li 5er in Shanghai this coming April. BMW still believe in the Diesel engine and especially in its ability to deliver high performance with great efficiency and lower taxes. As well as the M550d the new X3 introduces the M40d which again will be utilised by the 3er upwards.

In regards to electrified vehicles. In the premium segment BMW are the leaders the available models have not just dominated their segment, but also their market. The iPerformance additions are proving popular that in most markets the iPerformance cars are the best selling model of that series. Together with the i3 and i8. BMW are on course to sell 100,000 units of Electrified vehicles. And that includes new models as the 530e and MINI Countryman E. The forthcoming X3 will also offer iPerformance.
