Yes that is correct in Beijing 2010 BMW introduced the Gran Coupe Concept which was a precursor until October and the Premiere of the BMW 6er Coupe Concept. The BMW M6 Cabrio is behind the scenes @ Geneva for special afluent customers along with an Individual M5 but will not publically debut until New York, incidentally the expected largest market for the M6 cabrio will be the US.
The timescale between the NYIAS and Beijing is now altered so that the NYIAS commences first with Beijing afterwards instead of both running alongside each other.
Since China is expected to be the worlds largest market for luxury cars in 2015 , the spotlight is firmly on Beijing.
Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce's largest market for their products is now China and both will take the advantage and showcase further prospective growth in Beijing.
The Beijing show in April is already shaping up to be a huge event , BMW and Mercedes-Benz are already ahead in planning with the largest amount of floor space between them. Ironically the Bentley SUV Concept after Geneva will be shown in Beijing. lamborghini will have a world premiere of their SUV Concept. Other expected Premieres amongst the European contingent in which the majority will have concepts and new production models include the Mercedes-Benz GL-Klasse and CLS Shooting Brake , BMW 7er LCI , BMW Gran Coupe and two other BMW Premieres including the starting point for the M.40 anniversary with a special M night the evening before the show commences.
Audi @ Geneva have brought something behind closed doors. It is said to be an A7 shape but is clearly an SAC. Expect that in China.
I will be in Beijing and will deliver another report as I had done with Shanghai 2011.
