Well, it's pretty much 50-50, right? So one of you will get it right
Will share more shortly, just a bit too early.

We know the name and the details, we just can't share it yet. Need to protect the source.
Thanks my friend, but I'm not interested in spending 45k for something that burns taxi fuel.My wife is nagging me to sell our/her's 530xd M sport fully loaded, because she'd like to own 4 series coupe now, so if you're interested in car let me know. It's not 10 years old, but 4 and it won't drive out of my garage under 45k € which nis the current value of it in Croatian market.![]()

But, it's my birthday today, so if you want to offer an extra discount, I might consider it!

8er Gran coupe? 8er cabrio?

Would it be a genuine 4 door, like the F06 6 series/M6 GC ? Or perhaps a liftback ? A shooting brake would be very interesting as well.
Oh, please no, no and no! Noone needs that "$h!t!

Why. That'd be absolutely awesome. And they should make an M version too, to have something to fight the E63 S Estate, RS6 and Panamera Shooting Brake (sportback? whatever they call it..).
According to BMW Blog, the German brand will show a car that's based on the M8 but different to the coupé it has recently previewed. This suggests the car will be a convertible.

Strategically, an 8 series GC would not be a smart move, imo. The upcoming 8 series already suffers from a rather diffuse positioning, anyway. Is it a sportscar or a luxury tourer, an AMG GT or a Maserati GranTourismo? Critics say (with good reason): It cannot be any of that, it is a re-badged 6er. So it competes in a lower segment.
If BMW should really recreate the entire former 6 series line-up in 8 series guise, there will be a backlash. It would be wiser to go for a 9er (without GC label), use 7er/8er tech, and give it a unique design (and maybe even some unique tech, in terms of HMI, for instance). In this segment, BMW could/should/must(?) risk something. If they don't, Mercedes (and Porsche etc.) will take the cake.
