Finally a regular non-M Sport! I love the M Sport as well, but the regular trim results in a softer, more elegant, more feminine design that perfectly fits the car's gracious roofline, long curves and plump hips.

I'm still waiting for pics of the perfect classical luxury version: regular non-M Sport trim, dark blue paint, chrome window trim and multi-spoke wheels.

A petty peeve, I know. But...

A set of 6-to-10mm spacers would do the 8ers' appearance a world of good. The wheels appear a bit forlorn in their wells and they are not as flushly fitted (with the lips of the wheelarches) as they could be. A bit annoying methinks.

I don’t ever remember a time where anyone credible said BMW designs were boring. Ugly yes, during the Bangle years or that they all looked alike yes, but boring no.

And now...simply remove the rear spoiler and front skirt splitters...and tone down that rear diffusor a bit. Voila ! A very good looking 8er. Spacers, drop and rims work wonders. This would especially apply to the 8er GC.

With the latest BMWs the base models don’t need M sport packages to look really good. In some instances they may even look better without M sport.
