Horrible reviews, he should just quit.

I appreciate the more realistic perspective in-depth reviews capture.
So its completely underwhelming only because hardly anyone turned around to stopped to look? And that will make it not sell well?Last thursdaý I had the privilege to drive in a 7er (730d with allmost all the goodies). After my enthousiasm the first days after it was introduced, I'm quite dissappointed by this car. It's so completely underwhelming, so not luxury sedan-like. Even the so called innovations aren't that special: carbon core, yes, but any A8 weighs less. Gesture control? yes, but for me not intuitive and after a few tries I didn't use it anymore. The touchscreen was allready full of greasy fingerprints, doesn't belong in this class. While I was driving through a major German city, hardly anyone turned around or stopped to look. As if you were driving in stealth-mode (which can be of great advantage though). I can't imagine this car selling well over the next 7 years. especially not after the new 5er is introduced. The drive itself is much more comfortable than it's predecessor. But still not on W222 level.
PS at friends of BMW: it's only an opinion.

Certainly not, but if that is what you want read in my post, fine with me.So its completely underwhelming only because hardly anyone turned around to stopped to look? And that will make it not sell well?
I think there are no surprisses here. I honestly was not expecting Mick to say he likes the car more than his own W222 (no ofense, just being honest here).

Don't care, Mick.![]()

After driving behind two W222 on the highway few days ago, I have to say that S-class looks magnificent and commanding in real life. I have yet to see G11/12 on the road, so I cannot judge yet. Just want to say that, friends from BMW respect your opinionLast thursdaý I had the privilege to drive in a 7er (730d with almost all the goodies). No one seems to identify this car as a new model, as the new 7er.

How is it "only" when Mick mentioned several items he didn't like? This is where threads get derailed when people make posts that twist what somebody else has written. I assume you did it on purpose because nobody would be that stupid.

Well to quote you both, Mick stated that the car was a dissapointment, "so completely underwhelming, so not luxury sedan-like", and the only arguments was that it weighs more than A8, did not like gesture control, touch screen had greasy fingerprints (how is that a cars fault) and no one looked at you as you passed by. As these statements would not be enough to call a car "so completely underwhelming, so not luxury sedan-like" and make an assumption that it would not sell well, i was just curious enough to find out any real flaws that you found in the new 7er, since you said yourself that it was more comfortable than the last one. If i failed to capture anything else in your last post, then Mick or Betty The Forum Policemen, please let me know.Certainly not, but if that is what you want read in my post, fine with me.
