Hi all,

i am seriously considering buying a F10 535i, i've studied on various forums such as bimmerforums.com and bimmerfest.com, i have found a sizable number of drivers reporting electronic glitches and steering problem.

So does anyone know the reliability is F10?

Is there any more bmw user forums i should check before making the decision?

i really want to get this car, but don't want the experience get ruined by constantly taking the car back to dealers.

No warranties where you live?

Unfortuanly when you buy a new car today there will always be some kind of problems. Cars were better in the past with less electronics parts involved.

If there are any glitches i expect them to fix it for the 2011 modells..
Dont buy a 2010 car..its always a bad idea to buy the first year of a new modell..

More reliable? Perhaps.

Better? I doubt you would want to be in an E34 in a crash... Actually, you wouldn't want to be in a crash in the first place, but you get my point.

It's always a bad idea to buy a car in its first year, as the driver will then be some kind of "beta-tester"...

Sure there are real-world tests done by the carmakers, but they can't sort out all the problems that the millions of buyers could encounter in various driving/climatic/use conditions.

The electronic glitches should easily disappear with updates that are also available as retro-fit for the cars touched, but the steering problems could be more difficult to resolve as they surely are involving parts changing.

All this is done under warranty, sure, but is an annoyance for the customer.
