In the "GCF Metaverse", BMW suffers some kind of crisis that nobody ends up explaining what it is or where it is...
In the real Universe, BMW sells more than anyone and earns more money than ever lol

Hahaha that 'shot' you posted does its best to hide all the shittyness of the 5.
But as per my previous post, what we think matters little as the market is accepting these BMWs well, inspite of their looks.

I took time to digest the front and rear lights and believe they will appeal more in person, but at least the proportions and profile are absolutely spot on.

Correct, but in your text there is an error that explains your own conclusion, it is not "us fans" but "a few fans"
With "Nice shot", I was referring to how good the contrast of the chrome trim (or polished aluminum) looks against the dark blue, much more now with the new modern and larger Kink,, I have always liked it more like that, it looks more elegant just like the Mercedes

I would rather say in the "dalab Metaverse" nothing BMW ever does is wrong. The company leads on every possible aspect, each design is ground breaking, and the ones unable to see this are objectively wrong.
Real universe calls this fanatism.

You wrote some facts? What about what I wrote? Did I mention the word crisis at all? Like many here (perhaps even outside the GCF Metaverse), I believe BMW design is in clear decline. Which is why some of us believe a new concept that adds some new blood is needed.
How is it that you have not received from anyone an explanation about what's wrong with BMW? Since I pay attention to the matter, I have seen you argue with pretty much everyone regarding something involving BMW. I let you pic the topic (7er vs S-Class sales, BMW not producing a supercar, BMW's brand cache, G70 design, G60 design...). Not a single time I can recall you saying anything negative or debating against BMW.
And yet you are the one implying that what happens on this forum is some kind of bubble in which people imagine a crisis within BMW and somehow you are the one having the clear picture? Cause this might very well be why no one gives you an explanation.

I personally think none of the big german brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Audi and VW are producing any really inspiring and beautiful looking cars at the moment. The exception been perhaps the new AMG GT which is the best looking Mercedes in many years and the VW Buzz which is a funky looking people carrier. All of BMW cars perhaps only the Z4 and 3 series and X1/X3 and X5 as exceptions are looking crap. Audi is lost with evolution and VW are bringing out cheap looking and unspiring i models. Mercedes EQ brand is a waste of money, they all have the same terrible jelly bean shape, with horrible shiny black plastic grill and weird amoeba tail lights. The new E-class, S-class and C-class all look great, why cant the EQ cars look as good as these?

I can think about several nice BMWs (G20 3er, G05 X5, G15 8er) and MBs (W223 S-Class, W206 C-Class, GLE and AMG GT). I also like Audi Q3 SB and Q8.
And I love the entire Porsche range, although you did not mention it.

For me it isn’t Mercedes looks that are the problem it’s the quality or lack thereof. I could stand an EQE or EQS if their quality matched their prices. The rest of Mercedes lineup from the C to the S and all their SUVs look good to me. The SL and G have the right look. So does the S and new E. It’s the quality not matching the high prices that is a far more serious problem. There are people who like the EQS but I don’t know any Mercedes buyer that likes low quality.

These videos don't show the amount of flex on the door handles, but you can clearly hear the creaking. This is a brand new EQS53 on the showroom floor.

that's what happens when you have to make it an ICE, PHEV, BEV all in one... almost all BMWs with the powertrain options suffer this issue that all started with the i4.

I think there is an error in displaying it as "suffering from a problem" IMO
1- They sell more than ever
2- They get more profit than ever
3- They are immune to EV demand fluctuations (it's happening right now), thanks to their manufacturing flexibility.
2- In the comparisons they are the same or even better most of the times than the "dedicated"
3- Ergo, I don't distinguish a palpable problem or suffering, since even internet critics have done nothing more than benefit them by putting them on everyone's lips.
*Some don't like them? it is relative since sales say otherwise, it is an era where it is the calculated way forward.
