I saw the closed room preview yesterday @ Brussels.
The G31 is really stunning!
The back looks a bit like that from the V90, except for the lights.

Me as well yesterday. The 4 GranCoupe in metalic white was also stunning.

It's BMW like, like it is today. Hofmeisterkink of the G31 is more F31 than F10. The lines are sharper in the back where the licence plate is situated (this is what you probably mean in comparison to the V90) than today. Just in line with the G30. The design is how it should be and what we all expect.

I usually go to the Brussels Motor Show, but it's supposed to be every two years, and the next one wasn't supposed to be until 2018, so I've no idea why there's one happening now. Don't know if I'll be able to make it now.

Agreed. I went last year and surely thought there wouldn't be one this year.

I would have gone if I had known. Brussels show is pretty decent.

I think that's old info, from when it was listed as a 5-er. If that type of list is the one where that thread gets its info, why doesn't the full list mention the next X4 or the X7 for instance?

They have done some recent soul finding in regards to naming upcoming models. So what you may think is what it is going to be? Might have been changed to be more suitable in regards to avoiding confusion and to start a new approach to a segment.

I saw that, I think it's something old. The newest model there is a X2, X3, M5 and (there) 5GT, nothing about Z4 etc.

You will get an M340d and an M340i. And you will see them introduced first in the all new X3 launched in June.

2018 BMW 640xi Gran Turismo will be available for US market in September

The successor of the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo will arrive this summer and will be sold – for the first time- under the 6 Series badge. One of the models – confirmed for now for the U.S. market – is the 2018 BMW 640xi Gran Turismo which will be powered by the new B58 engine.

The 3.0 liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine is now available in the 340i and 740i, delivering 320 horsepower and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) between 1380-5000 rpm. The new 6 GT will also be available standard with the xDrive all-wheel drive system.

With a more sweeping roofline and more hatchback-like trunk, the 6 Series GT should be far better looking than the somewhat dumpy-looking 5 Series GT. Our sources say the overall look is much better balanced with some influences from the new 5 Series family as well.

Just like the G30 5 Series, the G32 6 Series Gran Turismo has gone through a weight loss program. The Gran Turismo will be based off BMW’s CLAR (Cluster Architecture) modular platform, with a mixture of aluminum, steel and carbon fiber.

European markets will receive the typical suite of BMW’s diesel and petrol engines, nearly identical to the G30 5 Series sedan offerings. For diesel power, there will be a BMW 620d, 630d and top-of-the-line M650d xDrive, the latter using BMW’s newest B57 quad-turbo engine. For petrol power, you can choose from the BMW 630i, 640i and M650i xDrive. The latter will get the same 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 as the new G30 BMW M550i xDrive. At least one hybrid will be offered as well, under the iPerformance brand.
