5 Series BMW 5 Series (G30/31/32) Spy Pics & Info Discussion

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

That is one beautiful station wagon. I am amazed how good BMW got at making wagons. They were quite behind AUDI before F10. But F10 and this are looking mighty awesome!

It's looking fantastic indeed. Too bad we are again not getting an M5 Touring :(

And I agree with the E60 Touring not being the best, but the E46, E90, E39 and E34 Tourings were all beautiful. And the F31 is too.

Complete overview above the G32 6GT Infos I have so far for a better overview (stupid idea to make a reply for every info - sorry):
ATTENTION! This information I have are only for 630d's with German specification!
ATTENTION! These Informations are without a guarantee. I have very good sources but you never know

Why not continue making this ugly thing a 5 Series GT instead of ruining the 6 series name. There's just no way that this thing will be good looking , it doesn't deserve the 6 series name . The current one is just gorgeous!

So Scott how are BMW going to tackle the E coupe

Excellent question.

It really doesn't. Not to mention, the front is very, very familiair to the G30.

Well, certanly that is far from being a nice car. The camo made it look like it was going to be closer to the current A7 from the side profile. Which is far from perfection, but at least look better than this stupid GT line by BMW, which is simply the worst idea the brand has ever had.

I remember the first day I saw a 3er GT IRL. What a shame for a brand to put your logo on the hood of such a terrible design.

Seriously now. Think of the 6er Gran Turismo in the same way of the 2er Active/Gran Tourer right?
They are both opposites of the standard Coupe. So 2er returns in Coupe form. And so will the 6er.
One proposal is to introduce a new 6er. Shorter wheelbase and 2+2 seating but effectively for children or additional luggage. Modelled on the original E9 and E24 series. A production CSL Hommage if you will. But it will be more honed and aimed at purists unlike the E Coupe. It will be a sports car but with a more traditional upright BMW Coupe slant instead of the more dynamic offerings of the 4er and upcoming 8er.
It might not even receive a Cabrio/Roadster but there has to be an M variant considered.

That sounds very good! As long as it's bigger than a 4 series I'm happy!

Any timeline for such a vehicle? Based on the 5 series interior/exterior design?
