5 Series (G30) BMW 5 Series (G30/31/32) Spy Pics & Info Discussion

The BMW G30 is the seventh generation of the BMW 5 Series. Body styles: (G30) (sedan), (G31) (wagon), (G38) (LWB sedan). Predecessor: 5 Series (F10). Successor: 5 Series (G60). Production: 2016-2023.
Scott has been saying a lot of things, for example the current M5 was suppose to have some kind of KERS system, the current M3/M4 was suppose to have a greater number of carbon fiber parts than they have now.
Scott has been saying things that are incorrect.
In my view Eni is more credible info than Scott.

You know what guys....I am a newbie in here....but i am already tired about the discussions about Scott! IMHO he gives at least a great support and lots of room for rumours and discussions...thats why he gets a big "Thanks man" from my side!

And especially to Betty Swollocks: Do you know Family Guy? Because this is only for you:

"SHUT UP MEG!"

It seems the new 5 will not get LED headlights as standard as mentioned earlier because at the first pic we can see that this car has no LED indicator.

I dont think
Cause its only one picture we saw with less camo
And the sedan will be the first one to unveil not the touring so donsent metter if we see anything in the touring car..sure will be all headlight available if we saw all of them by spyshots.

By weight, by the number of components, or by size?
By all accounts 34% :D

More than any Mercedes Benz has.
Let me educate you this is a Mercedes from 1998, it is called the CLK GTR, it has a carbonfibre monocoque, also the ENTIRE body is made out of carbon fibre. its 19 years old.

Yes it was a one off homologated model which cost up to around a million euro at the time or DM.
So you in essence paid and contributed for all that Carbon Fibre.
When today the BMW i3 and BMW i8 offers Supercar or HyperCar construction for around a fraction or even more with the i3. Now this is not in terms of rivalry mainly in construction and material application. Daimler are still a few years from doing a vehicle in the same method (construction wise as the i3 or i8) for the same costs.

Did you hear about the new Merecedes Slogan?

Mercedes-Benz applying carbon fibre where its truely needed since the 90s

Advertisement is rolling out simultanously with the 5ers debut, but they don't really know when it is.
They printed up all the stuff a couple of months back, but its sitting in my garage waiting for the right time.

On a serious note though, big up to BMW for their efforts, it does make sense especially in the i cars as they suffer with range if they are heavy. I see the work, i just make jokez.

But don't play around and act like Mercedes never used carbonfibre ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think he said that the M5 will have more CF implemented to achieve further mass loss, but I can't remember if he said anything about mainstream 5er.

@SCOTT27 definitely said the standard G30 5er would have CarbonCore, and the M5 would build upon that.

I'm actually starting to think Scott stopped working for BMW about two years ago. He's getting more info wrong than right.

The 'agrees' are particularly sad.
