5 Series (G30) BMW 5 Series (G30/31/32) Spy Pics & Info Discussion

The BMW G30 is the seventh generation of the 5 Series. Officially announced in October 2016, sales began in February 2017. Production years: November 2016-2023. Body styles: 4-door sedan/saloon (G30), 5-door wagon/estate (G31), and 4-door long-wheelbase saloon (G38).
A 9-speed automatic for the e-models? I believe it's the first time we read about the 9-speed automatic for a long time. It was very quiet about it.

Personally, I am disappointed by BMW's design language since the F30, you can see there is something there but it hasn't quite come together, just not cohesive enough in my opinion. The most beautiful 3 series in my mind is the E45 followed by the E90, the F30 just doesn't cut it.

I take a look at the current X5 and I want to throw up, I am hoping the 5er doesn't follow that design language too closely.
The 4 series is closer to the beautiful design that should be followed. I actually think the last (recent) concept of the next 3 series is spot on, nothing much to fault there. Fingers crossed the real thing looks close to that or even looks like that.

That is my personal take on BMW's current design language.

I agree about the X5. Especially the front lights. The bonnet distorts the lights like the new A5 coupe, but partly the issue is the car itself is more or less a huge facelift from the previous model, so they had to work around that.

I'm glad the next X5 will be released in quick succession to the X3, then both models will resemble each other's freshness, unlike the current GLC and GLE.

These character lines are really great. Most 3D ones I have ever seen on a BMW.

The one on the side mostly.
Yes and there is many lines i think now we cant see it
This model of the m5 will be fantastic like never been.o_O:eek:
I just wish that they use the other rims not this one so similar to the current model
But i think this will be for the RWD.
