I agree for the most part, though I think it looks alright, I'm just not convinced it's a fitting commemoration of... Well anything really...

As an interesting semi-standalone model within the range I find it desirable, but neither it, nor the M4 CSL are really a fitting tribute to the OG CSL, and a 750k car is less of a tribute to peoples performance cars, and more of a reminder how out of reach many of them are.

Price aside, I think its just pitched wrong, personally.

I do like it though, hopefully they'll have one at FOS next year, as I suspect that will be my only chance to ever see one.

I would only buy one if I loved the design. As far as the chassis and drivetrain it will be BMW's 911 R or 812. Buyers and speculators will believe that it's the last of its kind and then, surprise surprise, the manufacturer then produce cheaper models with identical drivetrain.

Expect a limited run version of this car with the same gearbox and engine output.

I love bmw soo much but I think the brand is getting worse .what an ugly car is this.This is garbage .Seeing what other brands have come up with makes me sad and jealous.Instead of releasing a proper M stand alone car they are coming up with XM and this shity Csl and cars with giantic grills.Please bmw stop this nonesense.

The tacked on panels don’t bother me as much since they effectively recall the original 3.0 CSL, but the front and rear details do especially since we are spoiled by the concept.

I also understand that new lighting units are expensive since they have to pass federal regulations.

The price is insane if what is purported is true. IMO, the Price ceiling ought to have been US$250,000.

If I got the call to say I was illegible to purchase this? I would decline on the evidence that there is a lot more opportunity to use that €750,000 on something far more beneficial. A house, a Villa or even a Rolls-Royce. There are far more beneficial ways to spend on more so than purchasing something like this. We can’t say there is no market when we know there is.

This Hommage seems like the Hublot of the watch world. Overpriced , cool , yet , some people will still buy it....

The grille, hood shutline and Hof kink would be welcome for the actual M4, but the rest is just f#cked up compared to the concept which is a completely different car with completely different proportions. This 'production version' looks soooo off.

The 600 hp RWD manual part is of course nice, and that too should be on a normal M4 for a normal price (like max 50k above a regular M4 CSL).

The rear end looks ok with the spoiler, but the taillights are disappointing as on first glance you would think it's an M4 with a body kit. The M4 CSL from the rear looks more aggressive, especially the lower part of the bumper and diffusor.

Its the same with the front, the grill is a throw back to older models but again the lights are too obvious a reminder of the M4. Surprisingly again the M4 CSL looks more aggressive with more defined bonnet intakes and lower bumper and splitters making it look more like a racing car than the 3.0 CSL.

The profile is the best view and with the rear deck spoiler I think it looks better than the M4 models.

The interior changes to the M4 CSL are minimal, such as the ivory manual shifter, the black matte trim surround for air vents, the colours and badges on the seats and the passenger side trim panel

The BMW M4 CSL is the first one in a generation I've actually liked. They do fantastic cars but that one caught my eye. This one is going to take sometime getting used to!
