M3/M4 BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage - production model teased!

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
Let me get this straight.. 750k and they couldn't even mold the rear fender instead of tacking it on? Wow, this is actually hilarious and sad.

And they got it. All €40 million of it.
Do you know if there will be a 3.0 CSL for press testing?

I think that doing it on the basis of the 8 series would have given it more the elegance of the 3.0 Hommage (the correct measurements) and more in line with the original from the 70's since it is its real predecessor.

If not, the 2 series coupe really derives most clearly from the 3.0 Hommage in its profile design and would more consistently receive added accommodations.

This is a clever way of adapting a "Double Kink" required by the already existing non-classic in the M4, I consider it the best part of the car and something that they will surely use in other models as a good way to modernize the kink while keeping it classic.:

It's a commemorative car. A collector's piece. You're not going to see it driving around. It's not going to pitch up a track days or set Ring laptimes.
I don't think much of it at all - I actually reckon it looks a little bit shite - but that's not the point.
It's not what the car is, but rather what it celebrates: 50 years of unmatched people's performance cars.

I agree for the most part, though I think it looks alright, I'm just not convinced it's a fitting commemoration of... Well anything really...

As an interesting semi-standalone model within the range I find it desirable, but neither it, nor the M4 CSL are really a fitting tribute to the OG CSL, and a 750k car is less of a tribute to peoples performance cars, and more of a reminder how out of reach many of them are.

Price aside, I think its just pitched wrong, personally.

I do like it though, hopefully they'll have one at FOS next year, as I suspect that will be my only chance to ever see one.

I can't believe there are 50 people ready to spend this amount.

136 billionaires in Germany alone. Orders of magnitude more millionaires in Europe beyond that.

All they have to believe is that at some point it will be worth more.

I remember back in the Summer on announcement. They said no plan to do press drives and no previews as everything was being done at the behest of the clients. I don’t know if the outcome has changed in regards to the media? But they wouldn’t let anyone who gets a personal invitation to M Previews to see the car Ahead of the launch. There is an upcoming preview which I presume is the M3CS. So everything resumes as normal.

When Domagoj Dukec checks out your IG stories 🤠 Big fan of his work and vision!!! He’s probably checking out people’s reactions but it’s still cool 😂

Curious also :)

The rich pepole of today's system. It's just that I have something special. But it's not special at all!!! It's like that with all things. Food, clothes, watches,.....

What a idiot pays $750,000 for a bmw m4.

The same idiot who has a Bugatti Chiron 🤷‍♂️

I can sell my turd for 7mil as long as BMW puts a badge on it and give people a promise I'll only "come out" with 9 more.
I don't think there's a market for that. Granted, there are probably folks that like feces in general, but are they person-specific, I don' t know nor would I ever want to know the market's position on that.
Jeez, young John Connor was a real douche.

Regarding the design.... I thought I'd prefer this front with the 3-D but the execution is terrible. Much prefer the M3/M4's grille and the M4 CSL overall. I mean, if you are going to do a money-grab, have the good decency of being more subtle. I had higher hopes than this*. Full stop, this does not deserve the "3.0 CSL" badge.

* Like with most modern BMW design, watch me come around to it in 6 or so months' time.

After seeing some videos it does somehow seem to look better in the videos than pictures, but overall I think the transition from concept to production is not so successful. It is too obvious based on the M4. I think they could have fitted slimmer front lights like the concept and mostly change the shape of the tail lights to differentiate it more from the M4. The tacked on fender flares looks aftermarket and should have been better integrated.

Been a performance BMW I also can't wait to see if there will be any test reviews as it is so limited and collectors item.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
