I was taking about driving experience, and character, of course. Both being more driver's cars. As much as RR can be a driver's car - but agility & performance wise & driving experience Ghost & Mulsanne are much closer than Mulsanne & Phantom.
The Ghost is based on a drivers the car, the F01 while the Mulsanne isn't. It's huge as a barge and is impossibally a car you would take out for "thrilling" drive on twisty country roads. Arnage a drivers car? Pretty much yes, but the Mulsanne is an entirely different machine serving different needs -- hence the name change.
VAG is aiming the car at the Phantom but conseded that an uncompromised car doesn't need to cost as much as a Phantom or have earth shattering dimensions. As far as my taste goes adore both of them in their own ways. I would not call the Mulsanne "Old Style", it's a very long and slender car like Brooklands and have a refreshingly modern appearence to it, thank to the soft lines and shimmering aluminium body work. A modern car in all possible ways, the only old-fashion aspect of the car is the center console, but on the outside the car is marvel.
The FS and Ghost on the other hand, I do not care for, they are just repackaged Germany automobiles.
Sunny: I knew someone would pull up photos of the purple Ghost. And I agree it looks great...........in purple and with a dramatic looking bonnet. But my interest fell when I saw the car is white without the gimmicky silver bonnet, and the car looked exceptionally plain. You'll see what I mean when more photos surface of the car in standard disguise. The purple colour compensated well for the lack of visual strenght.
