Comparison tests AutoBild Sportscars - RS7 Sportback vs M6 GC Competition vs CLS63 AMG-S vs Panamera Turbo

If you like stiff, sporty driving and performance over comfort definitely is worth it, but if you need comfort overall, definitely not.

RS sports suspension cost only 950 euro.

would depend hugely on road conditions too i guess

Opinions appear to differ depending on who you talk to, Chris Harris finds its comfort perfectly acceptable but then he might like his cars stiffer than someone else. Best to try it out yourself.

One thing is certain though DRC does benefit the handling, that is universally agree by everyone.

The M6GC is a heavy RWD pig... but I have a hard time believing what I just said after seeing the acceleration numbers.
DAMN impressive! It also did a pretty decent lap!

Every single car in this comparison is brutally powerful and ultra-fast in a straight line... the Panny is also great to drive unlike all the others but it's just too expensive.

As far as I can remember, the author of the article said "the high-gear acceleration (over 200 km/h) is suspiciously fast"... (they dynoed a normal M6 Coupé @ 632 hp last year).

I know my S4 when I had it did indeed feel stronger than it's 333hp would suggest and test supplied S4s have been proven to also be producing more than official figures but is this true for BMW when comparing customer vs test cars. What I'd love to see is a stock customer's M6 to be dynoed to see if it's figures differed from that of ones supplied for testing as I have often suspected.

And if I'm wrong and all M6s are super strong then happy days for our M5 :joyful:

Yeah that's the case with quite a few M6/M5's... it's nothing new :)
It's understandable since it's RWD, has superior transmission and... maybe better gearing ratio?

PS: E63-S and RS6 were also dynoed and the result was far better than the manufacturer's claim.

Yeah they are all at it but is this also true for their customer cars, like I said my S4 felt far stronger than it's quoted output.

Do you happen to know the figures for that of the Merc and Audi?

As far as I remember there was an E63-S dynoed at 670-680HP... or am I wrong?
The RS6 is as far as I remember closest to it's claimed HP at around 600HP dynoed.
I don't remember the exact numbers so don't take my word for it.

Autobild and Sportauto dyno M6 to 632 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque and M5 to 620 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque.

I take it the M6 was with Comp Pack otherwise why else should there be such a difference in torque.

1st day of the week, 1st video from the comparison: Audi RS7 Sportback
