Hot! Audi: What's Next?

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
I'll reiterate more bluntly, most people aren't going to give a **** if you've got a gold-plated Rolls-Royce, but if you start constructing arguments based around something you claim to have, and imply others don't, you should be prepared to back up that claim in order to, at least partially, justify your arguments... So I'd suggest again that you do what you asked of Klier, and show us pictures of your 700hp TTRS, and 700hp AMG GT.
So a man who says taking a TTRS to a reliable 700hp isnt easy is disbelieved but a kid who says it can be done with a £500 remap like the new g80 m3 is.

Tell me, how could I possibly make an argument about how easy it is, or isnt to make 700hp on that platform, without having owned or gone through the process? Otherwise I would just be like klier, talking out my a$$ on things I have no clue about ;)

In anycase. Here we go. 700hp AMG GTR tuned by dynotech/tikt

You asked Klier to post pictures of cars he never claimed to own to support his argument, I suggested you post pictures of cars you did claim to own to support yours... nowhere was there any conclusion drawn about who should or shouldn't be believed.

Are you new to the internet?

One cannot claim to know anything about a process if they hadnt gone through it themselves. No one expected anyone to post any pics, i was just making a point of how ridiculous his statement was.

Its akin to me telling you if or if not the titan submarine imploded due to a design flaw or not. We have no experience in the topic so why suggest otherwise?

Does people still chip cars? Isn’t this what some guys did 15 years ago to cheaper cars in order to improve performance?

I remember a lot of Golfs, Seat Leons and old 3 Series being tunned, ruining the style of the cars and making the sound absurdly loud.

Not sure why anyone buying a supercar would do this to it.

Chipping cars is cheap performance, my mates Golf R was obscenely quick after a simple remap... I wouldn't want to be the next owner though - stock internals and drive train being thrashed to absolute **** and all that... but fast as "F" from standstill. It's like Nitrous Oxide from before the Fast and the Furious hit the cinemas... you could pretty much annihilate anyone in a car that cost you less than a grand, provided you were okay with melting your engine and buying another car the following week.

I miss those days.

UK rs3 is 70-80k

Runout ttrs was 90k

Here are two UK sources which show the RS3 starts at £50,900

The M3 Competition is substantially more pricey in the UK:

Please show me pictures of your 700hp rs3 or ttrs. Unless you have actually done it, you dont have a clue on what it takes to get there, unlike myself ;)

Here you go, it's been done, there are a fair few tuners who offer 700hp or more in the RS3.

The guys who built my car has also built 1300hp ttrs/rs3.

Klier claimed it can be done for £500. It clearly cant

Oh really?

Used rs3 seems to be as much as a brand new m3 once you live in reality…

Meanwhile you can get a used g80 m3 from 55k now….

Not as ridiculous as your crazy claims about a 450 hp A3. Little bit selective in memory I am afraid.

You stretch things completely out of context. I was merely responding to your retard comment about a Golf class car with 450 hp. That is all.

I have no intention at all whatsoever to even start comparing an RS3 with an M3, particularly not with a lunatic fanatic like you.

Why are you comparing used cars? I'm talking about the MSRP of the vehicles. The M2 and RS3 are similarly priced, as they should be given that they are in the same class. The M3/M4 is a price class above and priced alongside the Audi RS4/RS5. By the way, used RS3s are priced so high because of limited supply and excess demand for the car. Having said that, MSRP wise, the RS3 is substantially cheaper than the M3.. I have no idea why you are comparing the two.

Next thing, we'll get a rant about Land Rovers.

Next youre gonna tell me a GT3 is 120k.

Yeah great, except if you want one in relaity you have to spend 250k.

You cannot buy a brand new rs3 at retail, and theres tons of used rs3’s for 70+ k.

So you can get a used rs3 for 70-80k or a brand new m3 for 80k

And it has nothing to do with supply and demand because the rs3 isnt in high demand. Used cars are sitting in dealerships unsold, new cars sitting unsold. Its not a GT3.

So yes from a price point they clearly can be compared, because if someone has 70-80k and they want a 4 door sports saloon tomorrow those are the available options, and why would you buy a rs3 when you can get a brand new m3 for the same money.

Its not rocket science

You are slow.

In 2000 they said anymore that 200hp in a golf class car is pointless and unnecessary. But guess what. Its called progress. Except audi is no longer progressing.

Rs3 is a m2 alternative. M2 is getting the m3 engine. M2 is advancing, progressing, the rs3 is still on that same old chassis, with the same engine with a slight miniscule power increase. Its doing nothing new that the 2012 rs3 didnt already do. 0 progress 0 innovation.

Whatever kid lol

How sad about Audi "What's next", it's been 28 pages talking about the RS3 from years ago.......

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
