Audi Q7 V12 TDI: Coming in 2008! - The German Car Blog
The Audi Q7 V12 TDI has been confirmed for the second half of 2008! It seems to be still unclear if the car is also coming to the US, but remember our breaking news from yesterday that VW cancelled the cooperation with MB for the Bleutec initiative and return to the TDI name and we might have a story here.

Cross your fingers, we definitely want to see this torque beast!

^^That's great news! It means that we're going to see that beast earlier than expected.:usa7uh:

It's a nice truck, I'm stuck between getting my mom one of these or an Escalade.

Audi Q7 V12 TDI: Spy shots!

Here are more spy shots of the Audi Q7 V12 TDI, the most powerful diesel ever.
Rumours are saying that this beast will sprint to 100 km/h in less than 5.5 seconds. That’s over two seconds faster than the gas-powered Q7 4.2 V8. Design changes will be the big air intakes in the front and fenders that are a little wider; note the small black strips on the fender openings.

The car pictured here is completely undisguised except for a couple of thin black vertical-strips of metal at the outside edges of the front bumper’s lower air intakes. At the rear, it has a badge saying 4.2 TDI, but that is deliberately incorrect. The front-end styling shows that this is really the 6-liter V12 TDI, not the 4.2. The huge lower bumper air openings are on the V12 only.

Re: Q7 V12 TDI Thread (Official pics & info)

Due to it's oversized mirrors, it indeed looks like an elephant...:D

j/k... I love it! :usa7uh:

:t-cheers:

Forget the Ford Edge, that beast could tow Venus into a new orbit. Is there ANY info out there about production possibilities or am I too far behind the times?

Audi can forget it at that price. Don't even think about trying to see it in the U.S. at that ridiculous price. I don't see that price being anywhere near accurate.

The price seem to be for the Netherlands's market and the taxes for cars are sky high. Secondly the price has been converted directly from euros to dollars, which makes the whole thing even worse.

My prediction is that it will cost as much as the R8 and RS6 i.e just a few coins over 100k.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
