AWD, now that is appealing.
Ultimately Mclaren will follow. Lamborghini and Porsche already confirmed and Ferrari already have the individually exquisite SF90 with the "VS" nearly here. What a time to be alive!

They promise delivery mid-2024. Will this happen? No.
Interesting perspective. My take is that AMG got bored of being associated with a ubiquitous V8 and developed the AMG One in order to rub shoulders with Bugatti, Koenigsegg and Ferrari in the final chapter for ICE engines. This cars specs are virtually head to head on par with the AMG One and it leaves that car in the dust on looks. AMG must be thinking why we not used the 4.0ltr V8 an already in house engine it would have been on the market much earlier than the 1.6 V6 F1, when AM are using our engine now and look what they done!!!

It will be poor but irrelevant as most AMG Ones will only do few Miles because of the rarity and high cabin noise. Then they should have done it with a decent engine. I really wonder what the long term reliability will be like for a highly stressed 1.6 litre engine.
Last year, Aston Martin said the Valhalla's drag-reduction-system-equipped active aero package would deliver about 1,322 pounds of downforce at 150 mph. That's a big number for any road-legal car, and Della Casa now projects it at more than 1,433 pounds.
why can't they just mention the downforce in kg?
i know the basic conversion 1100lbs = 500kg/2200lbs = 1000kg but it's so annoying having convert it based around those metrics sinceBecause for whatever reason Americans it seems prefer lbs. It was written by Motortrend!
^^
Stunning. More so than the AMG-One. However I believe that the price will be a major let down.
Just bear in mind that the SF90 is already reliably delivering the Valhallas target specs. You can walk into any Ferrari dealer and buy one at or below list price. Therefore it will be silly if Aston price the Valhalla at silly money in 23/24. By then, a hot version of the already insanely fast SF90 will be availabl. How much was the McLaren Senna again? This is far more technologically sophisticated. Whether it's faster on the track, we will see in 2023/24.![]()
Oh I'm aware of the forthcoming VS absolutely agree it's a stunning package even in base form as it were. I remember when it set the Indianapolis track record very well.Just bear in mind that the SF90 is already reliably delivering the Valhallas target specs. i thought you had to be one of Ferraris special customers with a garage full of red to be allowed to buy an SF90?
There’s a lot more to it than just walking into a Ferrari dealer and asking to buy a SF90. Even the (high-end) production models are not fully available to regular folk aka first time buyers. All SF90 owners that I know of own at least one more Ferrari that isn’t older than two years. Plus l, all SF90 production is sold out already. That’s why they anticipated the 296 so quickly after.LOL no! It's a series production model. Not particularly special edition. And I can't remember exactly but I heard they've made thousands of them! Coupe plus convertible. Also there's always a healthy number available aftermarket and even more will be so when the VS gets here.
