3 Series (F30) Article: The campaign for the new BMW 3 Series

The sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series consists of the BMW F30 (sedan version), BMW F31 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring') and BMW F34 (fastback version, marketed as 'Gran Turismo') compact executive cars. The F30/F31/F34 generation was produced from October 2011 to 2019 and is often collectively referred to as the F30. For the sixth generation, the coupé and convertible models were spun off to create the new BMW 4 Series nameplate.
Joy? Passion wins?? Oh my that is so cute...
Vorsprung durch Technik
At ease ladies:D

BMWs Marketing is so prissy.

They should be hard, logical, and serious! (German). Sell "We Mean Serious Sh**" and let the owners gush over how emotional they are over the cars.

The more clinical cars get, the greater the need to tell the customers there is emotion involved.

I almost agree with this quote. Almost, because I have not driven the F30 yet :D

But if one views the evolution of modern cars from a broader perspective, it's more than obvious how clinical the modern automobile has become. The lack of physical communication between the driver and the vital parts of the car has, since many years, been cut off. Mechanical steering and a gas pedal connected to the air butterfly via a cable are long gone, as is the sound of the double Webber carburators under the hood of many of the 80's era sportcars. Not to mention the menu of electronic nannies, which, yes, can save you from a tricky situation, but have made driving, a lot less complicated, less demanding, less challenging, less involving. Long gone are the skills one needed to properly break a car with no ABS on a turn. Long gone is the scandinavian flick on those non-off-switchable ESP equipped large sedans. I read the other day, that when you switch of the ESP in the F20, you get a reduced torque and horsepower, by changing the mapping of the ECU. Bloody ridiculous!

We, customers, have become soft. Very soft. Not many of us would like driving a 20 years old car on our way to work, even if it went out of the production line yesterday. But that's just me...

I really can't believe it either.

At least they should have went the more (powerful) singular: PASSION, if they were gonna go this route.

As dismal as "JOY" was, "Passion WINS" is absolutely fleeting and ridiculous.

If we put the words aside, I've always liked the design of BMW's advertisements, posters, etc. They are simple, stylish, but not boring.
