All kind of sales Audi / BMW / Mercedes

BMW and Mercedes key models in budget class (1 series/A-class), compact class (3-series/C-class) and upper class (7-series/S-class) and the upper SUVs are dropping in sales numbers quite significantly.

From VW Group sales figures they don't seem to be doing that bad as the news stations are saying. Only the BEVs sales in China are down majorly (-30K units) and Audi (-50K units) and Porsche (-9k units) sales are down, but VW (+100K) and Skoda (+60K) brands are up.

Jaguar did well with 37 cars.
Why they even are in the charts is anyone's guess

Stellantis in deep deep troubles. They are not going to survive they coming years, and it will be broken down as a conglomerate. Three years tops left.
It was never going to work with all these vastly different brands and cultures put together. More than 2 billion in the red last year.

The main issues of Stellantis are the bad engines( 1.2 Peugeot) and cheap interior compared to the high prices.

Their best car is the Fiat Ducato/Ram Promaster.

Bringing back the Hemi is the first step in the right direction.

First half of the year: BMW further extends its lead over Mercedes and Audi

In the first half of 2025, BMW managed to overtake Mercedes not only globally, but also in Europe, USA, China and its home market of Germany.

BMW selling 100k more EVs is wild. Mercedes is seriously lacking on the EV side. Thank God the AMG EV is coming to solve all problems
The EQE and EQS are a sales disaster and already are been pulled out of US and wouldn't be surprised if they stop selling them in China. Luckily the CLA and new GLA EV are coming to restore our faith in Mercedes. The EV C-class I am still not sure how it will look but I really hope it's not another soap bar like the EQE and EQS.

The initially often lambasted (a former naysayer myself) BMW "non-dedicated" strategy has certainly paid dividends. Evidence is the intended future convergence of ICE/EV model lines, at least in terms of exterior design if not even more, by M-B and VAG. Sure, nothing wrong with taking a perceived "bolder approach", but we witness just how badly this can backfire. The foremost case in point being the M-B EQ sedans. So far, I'm optimistic with regard to the MB.EA sedans-initially the C-Class, and later the E-and S Class cars. As far as the AMG.EA 4 door GT sedan goes, I've already convinced myself that IT WILL be drop dead gorgeous.

It’s the fact that there’re ugly, not that they look different from an ICE Mercedes. If Mercedes had made a stunning design for the EQ cars/SUVs with a more reasonable price they would have sold. Cadillac proves that an EV doesn’t have to look like or be based on its ICE counterpart, it only has to be a compelling design. The EQE and especially EQS models are just plain ugly and too expensive. The tech is there but the cars are ugly, something a Mercedes just can’t be.

I said this years ago but going electric will level the playing field and gives long struggling, near irrelevant brands new life. Whereas on the ICE side no one in the luxury space was gonna build a new TT I6, V8 or V12 to match the Germans at what they do best. With batteries and electric motors you now have 600hp+ Hyundai and Kia models that make a Mercedes EV a tough sell to a new buyer unfamiliar or unimpressed with the Mercedes name and lineage.

All the EQ vehicles needed to do was to look like a propper Mercedes.

IMHO, not "ugly". But the proportions of the EQE/EQS sedan silhouette alienates and some shutlines as well as the excessive partitioning of the front door glass couldn't have been more unfortunately placed. There are actually some M-B signature design elements to be found, but M-B designers packed them on to something formed like an egg or a porpoise-which is NOT an M-B design signature.

They should have stuck to the regular Mercedes silhouette and could have done minor changes to the front and rear to make them more distinctive, but a totally different approach with a soap bar shape does look odd in real life and perhaps more suitable for other brands. Mercedes can still design an aerodynamic saloon with a regular saloon shape, the E-class with 0.23 CD is only 0.01 less than the egg EQE (0.22CD). They could have fitted slimmer mirrors, smoother wheel covers and covered up grill then the E-class as an EV could also achieve a 0.21 CD factor.

I think all those sentences translate into "ugly"
