I somehow very vaguely recall a contributor on these forums once stating that Audi AG new model presentations often take place on Tuesday afternoons CET. This coming Tuesday is April 8th. And wasn't it mentioned somewhere here that the C9 A6 sedan would be presented on this date ? Of course, I may be very well mistaken.

The Audi presentations do take place on Tuesdays, you're right, but it could be on April 8th, 15th, 22nd, or 29th. I haven't received any report saying it will be this Tuesday, so I doubt it.

We smile, we cry, but if merc or bmw is not changing the game...in my humble opinion , current Audi a5/a6 sedan/avant design( that i hope will translate to the A8, or even for the a3 (hopefully audi will not give up like mercedes gave up to the a/a sedan)) is almost at the top , also Vw with their new design language for their upcoming small/compact electric id1/id2...they will lose some customers...at least those who are not bound/fanatic to an specific brand like me and so many others
I really hope the new 3 series will be an testimony in things to come

I thought I liked it when it launched but the more I see this the less I like it.

The swept back roof is the only positive I can think about this.

The design feels very unrefined and imo the design elements are all really random and class together.. from the odd body colour taillight trim, to the Hofmeister kink (why Audi???) to the gaping maw in the front.

Overall, the A5 Avant and previous gen C8 A6 Avant is a far more refined design.. this C9 A6 needs a lot more fine tuning in the design department.

I feel the same, this new gen A6 Avant already looks dated. The design elements are not cohesive and distort what could have been a much better looking car. The front overhang is excessive and those split tail lights look odd. The profile is ok with the heavily raked rear screen giving it a sleek appearance but the front overhang again spoils the profile.

The exterior design of the C9 is "neither here nor there". Certainly not offensive. Certainly not very exciting. Paint, rims and trim will make a great deal of difference. Whatever, EU market company car and rental car fleet managers will be leasing these in abundance. Black Avants for higher positioned managers, for the most part. Sedans...not so much. The upcoming S6 and RS6 leave me curious.
