Grenadine Red

That colour and those rims make a huge difference to the appearance and impression of the new A6 Avant's styling. It looks massively nicer in this red than the previously shown dark brown launch cars. But its still no beauty queen.

If I had to make a choice of this or the 5-Touring or the E-class in the looks department this would be in the middle with the E-class been my choice and the ugly 5- Touring in last place.

Must say...it looks gorgeous in this sort of configuration.

For me its better than e class because of its lights front/rear design. The profile is on point but so its the audi
I see a lot of people dont like the 5 series avant..so bmw must do something about it with the new upcoming design body language

Would anticipate a conventional, separated trunk area sedan...

No detectable sheetmetal shutlines (as seen on the A6 etron Sportback) above the top of the rear window that would indicate a hatch. Maybe the Chinese-market A6L versions will offer a fast hatchback similar to that of the SAIC-Audi A5L.

By the way...what is the story with the upoming C9 RS6 ? Initially, media reports indicated both Avant as well as sedan versions. More recently, there has been hinting of "Avant ONLY" configuration. And we have yet to see footage of C9 RS6 sedan prototypes-as where there are an abundance of those regarding the Avant (as well as the Avant Allroad).

The C9 A6 will continue the tradition of being a darling of rental/leasing fleet managers and a very popular company car for upper level executives/sales reps. It is arguably not "ground breaking". Nor need it be. Standard, inconpicuously elegant Audi fare.
