GT 2026 AMG GT 4-Door Vision EV

The Mercedes-AMG GT is a series of 2-door sports cars produced by Mercedes-AMG. While not directly replacing the SLS AMG (competing in a different segment), it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG.

It will sell well for the first year and a half, and then fall off
I agree.
It’ll depend how much it’ll cost.

AMGs are bought because of the V8 Sound, if there’s none of them, people are not buying it.
See EQS53 which has been binned lately, or the famous C63SE ( which I test drove lately).

Do we know how the specs are going to stack up against the Taycan range?
Bigger battery and some stuff from the Ioniq 5N, otherwise very similar.

It’ll compete with the upper Taycans (Turbo, Turbo GT).

I still think it makes more sense to fire the cigars with 100$ banknotes than to buy this car.

System output of the AMG.EA dual axial-flux e-motor architecture in the vicinity of the Taycan Turbo S/Turbo GT. A speculated tri-axial-flux e-motor version will produce some 1100kW or approx. 1500PS. No info regarding "entry level" models intended to compete with the more basic Taycans as of yet. It is speculated that the AMG.EA 4 door GT will be a somewhat larger car than the current J1 Taycan, overall length just under 5100mm.

According to Kacher, the most radical set up in the AMG could produce 2,000 PS.

Theoretically, a quad axial-flux e-motor configuration would provide approx. 2000 PS. Other than this innuendo from Georg Kacher, I have seen nothing confirming such a version. Tri-e-motors appear seriously under consideration though.
