Agree actually, not making judgments at this point (post deleted.)
The shape of these are rather generic-looking which is going to play a key role in the wind tunnel.

EQE SUV actually looks better than the EQS. hopefully, things do turn out better when the camo comes off.
The question is will they get the same interiors.

Yes they will have the hyperscreen interior for sure..

Front will also look very close to the sedan version atleast the grill

IMHO the egg shape suits SUVs. I don't feel like vomiting, while watching these, unlike the EQS sedan.

EQS SUV concept indeed looks very nice, proportion wise too. No problems there.

I do have a problem with the EQE SUV being the very same design but smaller. MB is worse than Audi has ever been with copying their own designs. Sad.

When is Mercedes going to stun with a fresh new gorgeous design on something?

M

I recall to have mentioned this not too long ago:

IMHO, M-B designers need to find a way to blend the more traditional, brand-specific "good looks" of the new R232 SL with much of the design featured on the Vision EQXX. It's M-Bs' lower ride height BEVs', that appear absolutely überfunky in a no bueno way and simply...f***ing weird. The electric SUVs should look quite acceptable methinks.

We're living in a crazy world in which elevated ride height SUVs'/SACs' visually outclass their "sleek" low ride height siblings. At least this appears to be the case with M-B products of late. Perhaps the future **.EA platformed cars will reverse this.

IMO this will look great. This design gets rid of most of the ugly details of the sedan: the awful side shut line of the hood, the small triangular window at the beginning of the A column (not sure about this one) and the height balances the proportions.

It looks set to become the most visually attractive EQ offering so far. By far.

It's just a lump of nothing. Clean sheet design and this what Mercedes comes up with?

M

May i ask what you see so far as a problem here as for me it seems ro have a nice shape ans obviously cant say more then that as the details will only be seen once the cladding comes off

I dont think we would expect a overstyled design or anything its clear Gordan and co want a clean and minimalistic design.

I understand the sedan has rhe blob look i dont see it here so trying to understand your criticism at this stage ?

It’s the same shape as almost every other EV midsize SUV. Aerodynamics concerns have given them all the same profile. I appreciate that Audi kept the hood aligned to the window line in the Q6 e-tron though. Mercedes having the hood slant upwards so much makes it lose some athleticism and creates more of a blob effect.

Audi, while hardly infallible, appears to have the most competent design team of the German "Big Three" premium brands. Often a bit boring, sometimes a line or crease that could have been spared, but otherwise very coherent in its' design statement.

This indeed looks way better than the EQ SUVs. The iX looks nicer too.

It is amazing how poorly designed the new MBs are. The company needs a huge push on every account to keep up with the increasing competition.
