Flying Spur 2019 Bentley Flying Spur Picture thread

I think that even though the current Mercedes Maybach is successful, over time the right way would be to do it as they did with the AMG GT 4 door compared to the CLS - leave the S class an S class under the Mercedes brand, and make a Maybach similar in dimensions to the current Maybach, but with different headlights, taillights, etc, and not just triple the amount of chrome on it. Regarding interior the same.

Regarding Aston Martin I think the DBX will be a huge success, to me personally it is the most appealing and useful SUV in its category. The only problem is while we see bentley as a rather luxury brand, Aston Martin is rather sporty, which was very well translated into the DBX, but it’s quite challenging to imagine they could do it successfully with a luxury sedan, but I hope they will surprise us.

Last time I was in London I saw a Lagonda Tarif , what an imposing vehicle, I can't understand why they didn't make more of them, they sold everyone they built. I'd take on of these over a dolled up S Class Maybach any day.
.

Because the Lagonda was a very skeptical play. They knew 200 was the right number to sell and didn't even bother spending enough money for it to make U.S. regulations. It was a smart way to get the ultra rich interested in what was essentially a coach built car.

Aston Martin won't be the brand on any luxury sedan it w...

Yes that’s what they did, but do you think this is the smart move? Because DBX seems to be doing well so far under Aston Martin, they wanted an SUV under Lagonda but then didn’t do that eventually. It’s a bit like what was going on with Mercedes and Maybach, today the Maybach is doing better in sales, I think design wise they should make it more different from the S class as I wrote before, but I think a sedan under Aston Martin with a 300-500$k price tag would work better than a million dollar Lagonda

The number of times piano black lacquer was chosen in the last few posts, I found that to be disappointing, especially considering the number of choice veneers offered by Bentley.

Excellent photos, the car looks imposingly beautiful, also the color that has not been seen help.

The magazines from USA always have a special touch in their photographic productions, the cars look even better than they are in themselves

While my initial enthusiasm (upon presentation, the FS absolutely floored me) has waned a bit in the meantime, it just takes some professional images of nicely configured examples to rekindle the flame. The black rims on the red car don't do it for me. But the green example posted previously is absolutely scrumptious. It remains a monumental automobile. A SWB version would be nice methinks.
