The day has come... F1 porn is now a reality!
AnimalPlanet is the new major sponsor of Ferrari!
LaAnteater looks splendid!

The Renault symbol looks like a..... so it was understandable to replicate it in some way on a Renault powered car.
Will Lotus drivers drive like c*nts and Mcclaren drivers drive like d*cks this season ?

PS: What The Hell!?

The drivers and even some Ferrari guys find it hard to even look at the thing...

The Lotus nose as ugly as it is, is very interesting, especially the asymmetry between the left and right protrusions. I wouldn't be surprised if FIA finds a way to ban it.

Im very excited about Tuesday. First day of testing. Despite new engines, this year will not be an engine war in the traditional sense. Success will lay in the hands of the engine suppliers and the reliability of the power units. What has got me curious, is how competitive the power units are if one of the Energy Recovery Systems fail.

The MGU-H which recovery energy from the exhaust turbine as well as regulates the speed of the turbine negates the need for a waste gate, but how severe will turbo lag be in the event of failure? I cant imagine turbo lag being fun on cold tyres while driving the double right hander in sepang? More so, a failure of the MGU-H means that the boost and pressure cannot be regulated. That is unless there is a safety waste gate that can kick in to prevent the engine from blowing up! As much as the MGU-H is useful in controlling turbo lag and charging the battery store, I hope that drivers can still be somewhat competitive without it. I wouldnt want to see any driver falling victims of something that is out of their control.

As for the MGU-K its pretty clear that its not just a KERS system that is worth 1-3 seconds a lap, but is provides a considerable amount of the cars power. Mark Webber is lucky to have left F1, or else I could see him having the unit fail every other race, and that would be an instant DNF. No driver can remain competitive with a 15-20% deficit in power. The power units are very complicated and I imagine them being a source of headache for drivers who are used to linear power and full control.

It was a very interesting airbox design. I'm curious about whether there's an air vent under it's support pillars what will feed air to the gearbox, diff or power unit. Remember that they no longer just need to keep the engine cool, but now have two turbo, a battery store, and two ERSs too cool. All of this whilst containing the powerunit in a tight package so that as much air as possible can be fed to the tea trey and diffuser.
