Like always only a new MB makes the existing look old, i went to the MB website to check on the price.
And for the first time in my life felt that the Existing SL looks old:D..

Man, I`m having a hard time getting a hold of myself!
I havn`t been this excited about a car in quit a while. I really didn`t expect it to turn out this good. This gives me great expectations of the next S-Class!

This SL will be a huge success!

Will the SL350 have the old 3.5L V6 still? Judging by the numbers it will be the carryover :(
Any news on the new TT V6?

^Im not sure.. i just read a conflicting data to the one above it says

Der SL 350 verbraucht 7.5-6.8 Liter im mix, 176-159 CO2

Alot lower consumption on this one..so it might be the new engine..

We will have to wait and see..

True that doesn't necessarily add up. But maybe combined is just a little higher?
The old SL's data is:

SL300
231ps, 7G-Tronic
0-100 in 7.8 sec
9,3 l/100 km (combined)

SL350
316ps, 7G-Tronic
0-100 in 6.2 sec
9,7 l/100 km (combined)

I'm now thinking this could be the new engine! No way they could lower consumption by over a liter and shave off .3 sec off the 0-100 km/h time.
Can't wait to find out more.

That front end is larger than the rear when looking at the side profile, its very ungainly in those pics. I don't see what you guys are so happy about, the design has a very poor balance from what I see.

Seems I was right when I said this car would be revealed on 15th December. I wasn`t expected that front. Mercedes surprised me in the best way possible, so cool that front is unique, it isn`t an enlarged Slk. I always knew Mercedes got imagination on design. The words that describe perfectely this car are: ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. And think that we even see it in the best way possible. I mean the quality of the photos aren`t so good. Front seems so much better than the one I saw in spyshots. Rear is so hot, and interior is the one thing that rains on bmws parade. hahaha. THANK GOD AND THANK YOU MERCEDES-BENZ ! The best or nothing !

Well Marcus you're just hung up on BMW styling more these days that's all..give it some time and u'll be back to normal again..;):D

Rear looks brilliant but the front, could be the angle but its not good. SLK looks better. Those headlights are huge and the shape of the headlight isnt doing any favour to the car.

That may be so as I think they're making better looking cars than the previous generation of cars, but you I think even you can see Mercedes' are just not the smooth, clean design that they used to be. They aren't ugly, but they're not timeless anymore either. Either way I'll just await to see the SL in person next month.

O God, Clean-up on Aisle 5. I repeat clean-up on aisle 5. New underwear needed. Why couldn't MBZ do this years ago? I think they have finally hit their stride on design. Seriously, bring on more pics! Love this thing.

You do not think its clean enough? it has very few design gimmicks and lines..
I thought those who do not like the CLS would appreciate this..

BMW's designs went from butt ugly to sexy. They've made HUGE progress, but MBZ is keeping up with designs like this, I think. This is a step in the right direction from MBZ in terms of desig. I can't wait for the new C to hit.

the headlights look awkward in those pics, but overall, better then what the spy pics were predicting.

I LOVE those seats, but other then that, the interior doesn't bring anything fresh to the table. Looks like a SLS copy and paste job.

I'm gonna wait for more official pics, but from what I can see so far...that's hawt. It's almost making me eat my negative words, but I gotta see better pics. One thing I'm glad about, the front doesn't looks as awkward as the f__king SLK.
