C-Class 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Confirmed

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a series of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque's line-up until the W168 A-Class arrived in 1997.
Building a pillarless car is not just removing something. It requires a lot of reinforcement in the lower b-pillar where the door and 1/4 meet, and in the roof structure.

Further, I'm just not enamoured with the pillerless look

Frameless doors have nothing to do with no B pilar. Even BMW 1 Series and MINI have frameless doors, but maintaine B pilar for being ridgide.

This car will be a dissaster, it screams cheapness and running out of time everywhere.

The proportions are the ones of a car designed in less time than the needed. To me this car does not transmit what it should.

I see...

I do agree, to some extent though. The C pillar looks like it didn't recieve the attention it should and looks kind of awkward.

But, I think that the rest of the car looks quite good!

:t-cheers:

Ooo, much too much sheetmetal mass around rear wheel area...
In any event, this will be miles better than the CLC, regardless.

Totally agree. Makes the rear look unbalanced with just so much plain-ness.

Even still, WAY better looking that the wtfugly looking CLC.

I don't like the pillarless look as well, and I think the CL and E-Coupes always look terrible with all 4 windows down. However, true Coupes have pillarless doors, and a B-Pillar intact as well.

This car having a big 1-pillar on the door, reminds me of a Chevy Cobalt or something. Just cheap, for a Coupe.

No frameless doors is very, very pathetic. This car is just a regular C with two doors removed, unlike the A5 and 3er coupe!

3er sedan and 3er coupe are completely different. Every inch of the car. Doesn't appear to be the case here, sadly.
Still I will like this car, I just hope they do a more thorough job with the next gen coupe...

But still, if it's a coupe, it needs frameless doors. It should cost less since they're using less.... no? It's not like they can't do it, they're just being cheap :D.

Check the pictures carefully, they not frameless. MEH :/

Dieter it's Norbert...
We would like our trademark hoffmeister kink back....please
That is all....:D

To be fair, it doesn't really look like the Hoff' kink. It's much closer to what Audi A7 has but even then there are differences. :usa7uh:

Lol.

I wouldn't call the C-Coupes kink a "Hoffeister Kink" at all really, it's more just a "kink". Like I said, to me, it seems extremely similar to the Accord Coupes also "not quite Hoffmeister, but still a kink" kink.
