I can't believe Force India actually didn't just score their first points ever, but were actually on the podium. Even though it could be a fluke, I'm proud of my little Indian team.

Too bad for Hami, but other than that great race.
Force India did great, only a little stumble on the frist pit stip, but nothing like Alonso:eusa_danc
Interesting last few laps for Barrichello

^^This is like the 10th fudged up pitstop for renault this year. LOL

Also, I was praying the whole time that nothing happens to Force India cars, they have been close in the past but something happened to screw their chances.

Kimi's strategy for the first corner is clearly questionable as the gained a significant advantage from using the run off area for what it isn't intended for. One can clearly see that he has no interest in trailing the rest of the pact through the corner but instead went off track and slingshoted to then press the KERS button which evidently took him smoothly past two cars.

A very clear and aggressive strategy, though very much outside the rule book and given last year's row over Hamilton cutting the chicane, I'm stunned that the Stewards didn't even raise their eye brow over Kimi's first corner tactics.

^^I don't know. If you watch that video carefully, when he enters the white line of the track he is clearly still 4th. So, you can't say that he entered ahead of the pack or something. Also, the other thing is, as a racer, with the cars next to you locking up during braking, would you still stay on track if you have a runoff area? No, no you wouldn't. If that particular runoff area was all grass then Kimi definitely would've tried his best to stay on track but since there was a paved runoff, its was a good idea to go off track. And still entering behind the 3rd car was brilliant, even if it was only a foot behind.

^He should have yielded that position until 2 turns later like the rules stipulated for Hamilton last year. He clearly gained an advantage by running wide OFF THE TRACK which gave a better run on everyone else. I'm also surprised (or perhaps not) nothing was brought up by the marshals.

Like I said, sure he wasn't forced off the track, but the thing is he wasn't the only one to get off track either. Also, with cars locking up right next to him, I think he was trying to distance himself by going off track because he didn't know if the cars were gonna come right into him. We can look at it now and say "they weren't that close" but for the guy in the seat, that's as close as he'd like to be.

^^I don't know. If you watch that video carefully, when he enters the white line of the track he is clearly still 4th.

4th but with monstrous momentum that allowed him to breeze past the bimmer with ease. He knew that there would be a slow down and a possible scuffle in the first corner and had already planned on driving around it all and gain an unfair advantage. It's an unfair way of exploiting a a piece of surface that is intended for giving the drivers a bit of room and forgiveness if something was to go wrong, which is safer than having barriers right next to the edge of the track.

Drivers and teams who have seen highlights of the race are bound to have picked up on what Kimi did and might use it on other tracks with a similar layout for the first corner, though it will be interesting to see how the stewards will act upon it. But it's very unfair that Kimi wasn't given a drive-through or even get investigate. Then again, FIA has always stood for Ferrari's International Assistance so this is nothing compared with what we saw last year.

Either way I pray that Jean Todt doesn't get FIA presidency as F1 will favour Ferrari even more, especially when Todt's son is managing two drivers.

^^Fair? That's debatable. What's clear to me isn't to you and what's clear to you isn't to me.

But the problem is people are acting like this single incident is the reason why Kimi won. C'mon, one lap doesn't win the race unless in that one lap no one else shows up.

The way I see it, the initial turn in point for Kimi was blocked by Trulli, even if Kimi did manage to keep the car within the track when he turns, he would have been squeezed off to the run off area at the exit. If Kimi slows and let Trulli through he would have been hit from the back. IMO Kimi has pretty limited options but he did gain some speed by running so wide off the track.

In other words, racing incident and nothing spectacular and conspiracy ridden. ;)
