That and most certainly the Mac's are one of the most heavy cars out there.

I don't think hamilton is that heavy, he said it him self, he screwed it, concerning Kubica, it's almost certain that he choose a rain setup.

I'm pretty sure that Mclaren aren't allowed to add any fuel to their cars before the start of the race. If the original strategy was to do a two stopper then it might be a stretch to get them on to a one stopper. Depends exactly how much fuel they have on board.

I'm looking forward to see the McLaren's moving through the back of the back. Kimi took some heat (deservingly) last weekend for not getting past a Honda. I think this will show whether Hamilton and Kovalainen have really adapted to driving without traction control as they didn't really have to deal with a lot of pressure last weekend. IMO, it's when drivers are under pressure (to pass / defend) that we'll see the difference traction control makes.

I really hope it does rain. Even if it does mean that my favourite team (McLaren) don't win. It would really show the drivers capability and not the electronics/car. Australia was a great race because it was the first time we and the drivers ran without all electronics under TRUE race pressure rather than practice etc. where its generally tension free. Now with rain we can get a better glimpse and then we can resume to normal programming.

Everybody really underestimated Ferrari coming in. They still haven't proven themselves but its still a far cry from everybody saying how Ferrari is ruined and they're not fast enough etc. I'm still rooting for McLaren but the two drivers really deserved to be docked. Everyone else was off the racing line except for them.

Hamilton climbed up the grid pretty well at the Brazilian GP and demonstrated that he does have the balls and skills required to do daring overtakings and such. So he should be able to finish 4 or 5th tomorrow, perhaps even overtaking Heikki?? For Heikki this will give us a chance to see if he's champion material of not. I will be very impressed if he manages to get by one of Heidfeld or Kubica.

Not necessarily. Rain put the entire order out of spin and you have rookies slamming into the top drivers, and at the end of the race you end up with people like Jarno Trulli and Mark Webber standing on podium for the first time. In other words the result from a rainy GP is often not very representative of how skilled the drivers are, BUT off course they do show us who the experienced and disciplined drivers are. Some good drivers completely crumble when a circuit is wet.

Yeah, last year Hamilton was like a 1 year old kid trying to take his first steps in the living room from the couch to the flat screen TV. Basically exempt from a lot thing. This penalty marks that FIA don't consider him to be an old man and is no longer immune to the wrath of the stewards.

Yes, it would be great to see the McLaren drivers climb up the grid on the first few laps and I hope there will be a pile up at the front of the grid involving both Ferraris.

But, seriously, McLaren needs to stop committing silly mistakes and shooting themselves in the foot every now and again. The Championship may be a long way off but every point counts.

I don't know that Ferrari are extremely light. Judging by the Q2 or Q3 times, it looks like they do have some speed here. The reliability may still be a bit dodgy.

I think Kimi is marginally better than Massa, but the difference is tiny, tiny, tiny. He certainly doesn't deserve to get $30-million-a-year more in salary than Massa. It's not like the skill difference between Michael and Irvine or Barrichello. Bottom line is that I think Kimi does not give good value for his salary.

I know it's only the second race, but it cracks me up to see BMW (on their second full season) ahead of Ferrari in constructors points :banana:

i'm a Massa fan, but i'm not afraid to admit that Massa did cock up big time. i really hope he gets his act back quickly, and give it his best, like he aways does.

could be because of cooling issues, etc. i'm not bothered about Toro Rosso or Force India, but Ferrari itself.

was a great race, IMO, just wish i went for it

Definitely brother, I was just messing with you. Raikonnen did amazing today. That's what I keep saying. While Hamilton is a great driver, I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they have an awesome car.

My props go out to Trulli who did awesome as well as Alonso. Those guys are great

As if Massa, Heikki and Kimi doesn't. Hamilton is one very good driver. He's qualifying pace is monstrously fast, he drives the car at it's absolute edge without doing any mistakes, he's consistent and he knows how to overtake and has the guts to do so. Utilizing a car's full potential is every drivers objective and that is exactly what Hamilton is doing. What else could you ask for?

Although Massa has the skills to battle with Kimi and Hamilton this race was a prime example that he's not a perfect driver. He's not 100% consistent and lose focus from time to time. This weekend was clearly his but he failed to seize it.

regarding Trulli, i trulli believe that Toyota have indeed picked up the game. i still think, Timo Glock gotta be more relaxed tho.
