The final season of the clone wars recently dropped. This was a great series cut short when Disney bought Lucasfilm. They made one final season that should end by or around "Order 66". If you haven't seen it, you've got 7 seasons and plenty of hours of entertainment.

The first two story arcs in the season were alright, pretty standard Clone Wars stuff, the final Siege of Mandalore arc is shaping up really well though. I originally thought it would be good if the final scene dropped us in to the opening scene of Revenge of the Sith, but, it seems they're over lapping, which potentially could give us an interesting viewpoint on scenes we're already familiar with - especially as you say, Order 66.

Without disrespecting Rebels or Resistance too much, I hope Lucasfilm bring the same level of expansive story telling and animation quality back to our screens with whatever the next project is.

Rebels was pretty good also. By far my favorite episode was "Twin Suns", where we see the final encounter between Obi-Wan and Maul. The duel is very samurai-like, all strategy and focus. One, two, and done.
Reminded me of old samurai movies like Rashomon, Joyimbo, Seven Samurai, and other Toshiro Mifune classic films.

They even found a voice actor that nailed Alec Guinness' voice for old Obi-Wan! I saw the behind the scenes also where they explain the 'voice transition' from Ewan McGregor to Sir Alec Guinness was due to the many years Obi-Wan spent in the desert of Tatooine.
Great episode!

Great episode!

I like James Arnold Taylor's Clone Wars Kenobi, and he'd have been more than capable of doing Guinness for Twin Suns.. so I'm not sure why they went with Stephen Stanton, but yeah, it was a good episode. It finishes with the those few bars from 'Binary Sunset', which, as a life long Star Wars fan, absolutely kill me every time. Stanton has done many voices for Star Wars over the years, one of my favourites would the AP5 from Rebels... or... as I think he should be called... the Alan Rickman droid.

There was a lot of good stuff in Rebels, I just wasn't keen on the animation style.

...And Order 66 happened! Now for the series finale next Monday, May 4th! :darthvader:

...And Order 66 happened!

Ah man, I wanted to see more or Order 66 :( I know we're focusing on Ahsoka and Rex here, but I thought we might at least see a few new perspectives. Great episode though. I look forward to the episode tomorrow... though I'm sad TCW is over again.

Very nice ending, with haunting final moments. Pretty good ending overall. I'd give it a 9/10.

That ending was hauntedly beautiful. If only the live action films concluded on something as emotional as The Clone Wars. The Clone Wars is Star Wars.
Spoilers!
